I joined that 50s club recently and have noticed some degradation in my eyesight the last few months, so like I mentioned earlier, if this is what it takes to help offset the hours of wear and tear caused by staring at screens etc. , it's a relatively easy way to keep the old eyes working well.

'The decoction of the roots (Asparagus) boiled in wine, and taken is good to clear the sight, and being held in the mouth easeth the toothache.' He also tells us it helps those sinews that 'are shrunk by cramps and convulsions, and helpeth the sciatica .'

Sounds like it's also a good idea to where sunglasses outside whenever possible. I've been wearing my Ray Ban shades with 100% UV protection for several years and so far my eyes are doing just fine.
"I got a crazy teacher, he wears dark glasses.
Things are going great and they're only gettin' better.
I'm doin' all right, getttin' good grades.
My future's so bright....I gotta wear shades."

In an experiment, investigators found that human eye cells treated with antioxidants called lutein and zeaxanthin showed less damage after being exposed to ultraviolet rays, the sunlight ingredient considered a major contributor to cataracts. I've been taking a multi-vitamin for multiple years that contains both lutein and zeaxanthin. These substances may be preventing cataracts, but I did finally have to get reading glasses recently, so apparently they don't prevent presbyopia.

I love turnip greens and collard greens. Kale and spinach I can live without.
Much, much easier to take "Vision Formula" with Lutein! An Isotonix formula composed of Bilberry, Taurine, Qercitin, Eyebright, Lutein, Lycopene, Zeaxanthin. One small capful of these natural powder ingredients dissolved in two ounces of water on an empty stomach, goes right to the small intestines and absorbed immediately 90% like getting an IV of powerful nutrients!! And it tastes good!!!
