Behind the anti-war movement

The pre-invasion anti-war movement morphed into a post-invasion anti-Bush movement. The failure of both efforts has deepened the resolve and refocused the efforts of blue-state liberals, socialists and the ever-present rent-a-mob crowd.

ANSWER, http://www.internationalanswer.org/

Act Now to Stop War & End Racism, is revving up its street-theater engines to protest the president's inauguration and to create a worldwide protest March 19, the second anniversary of the invasion of Iraq.

Disappointed media moguls have already begun the campaign. In a Washington Post article, http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A29472-2004Nov5.html

Robert Kuttner says the anti-war protests will be the most determined anti-war movement since the anti-Vietnam protests led by John Kerry and Jane Fonda.

Like Kerry's anti-war campaign, the propaganda is based on lies and half-truths, designed to inflame a strong emotional response. The purpose of the war is distorted, obscured and misrepresented. For example, ANSWER justifies its anti-war position by claiming that the U.S. deliberately targets civilians. They claim that "the top enlisted Marine in Iraq has called on his troops to commit war crimes against the tens of thousands of remaining residents" of Fallujah.

But they completely ignore the fact that coalition troops have uncovered mass graves that contain the bodies of nearly a half-million Iraqis executed by Saddam Hussein and the discovery of slaughterhouses in Fallujah where innocent victims were routinely beheaded.

These people are not simply "anti-war," they are anti-American.

They call President Bush a " war criminal" http://answercoalition.org/

while praising the terrorists in Iraq as "resistance fighters" and calling on all Americans to display the Palestinian flag in three days of mourning – "Let every flag and kuffiyya fly high in honor of all those who have passed – from Fallujah to Rafah and from Baghdad to Jerusalem."

Another group that spews this anti-American venom is

the International Action Center http://www.iacenter.org/

founded by Lyndon Johnson's attorney general, Ramsey Clark. His group is promoting a "Million Worker March" on Washington Dec. 3-10. It's no coincidence that this effort is also promoted by

the Worker's World, http://www.workers.org/

a socialist newspaper. It's no coincidence that Sam Webb, who is the national chairman of

the Communist Party USA, http://www.cpusa.org/article/articleview/600/1/27/

says, "The broad people's movement must also regroup its forces across the country for an intense period of resistance to that agenda of war."

Still another group,

Turn Your Back on Bush, http://turnyourbackonbush.org/

is planning another tactic to protest the president on Jan. 20. Concerned that the security surrounding the inauguration will keep their protests off camera, this group is advising their protesters to avoid signs and banners and move through security gates to get as close as possible to the podium. Then, on a signal, when the President speaks, everyone is to turn their back to the President in a silent protest, sure to be seen by TV cameras.

In much of the world, the antics of these protesters would result in jail – or worse. Cuba, China and many socialist countries routinely eliminate protests – and protesters – against the government and its leaders. It seems ironic that the ultimate goal of these protesters is to transform America into the kind of government that tolerates no dissent.

The Communist Party USA says: http://www.cpusa.org/article/articleview/13/

We Communists believe that socialism is the very best replacement for a capitalist system that has served its purpose, but no longer meets the needs and requirements of the great majority of our people.

Make no mistake: These people are driven by a socialist philosophy, using their anti-war protests as an excuse to demonize America and draw attention to their own agenda.

No doubt these people will continue to demonstrate, protest and stage stunts to get media attention. No doubt their campaigns will influence some people. In America, they have every right to do and say whatever they wish.

Until these people achieve their ultimate goal, however, those people who prefer capitalism to communism are free to expose the protesters' socialist agenda and to explode their propaganda with facts. Should the socialist agenda ever prevail, however, freedom to dissent will be among the first to be lost. Then goes private property, gun ownership and representative government.

The election of George Bush was a bitter disappointment to the socialists, but they do not consider it to be a defeat. They think they were cheated, again, and they will use any trick, lie or deceit they can conceive to continue advancing their cause: the transformation of America to socialism.

More food for the fodder.

Freepers have been saying this for a couple years now, and most of that discovery goes to Doctor Raoul.

I imagine that had Gore been elected (or succeded in stealing the election, rather) in 2000, and had reacted to 9/11 in the EXACT SAME MANNER as Pres. Bush has he'd be lauded as the greatest president of the U.S by the MSM. THe anti-war movement would have been JUST AS FRINGE as the protests against Clintons bombing of Serbia. Dammit! (Countersue those bastards Race!)

One of our most common retorts when asked by the media abot whether the PEACE CROWD is for Peace, is to ask them: Where was the PEACE MOVEMENT when the Soviet Union attacked anyone?

On a few website bulletin boards, I have used the term PEACE NAZI to describe the peace movement in general, and one person asked me for an explanation as to what the term means and why I say it. Here is my answer:

It is intentionally derogatory, and I use it because I believe it has to be said.

It has to do with the foundation of the PEACE movement in the US and abroad and their Communist foundation, and how the majority of the signs held and slogans chanted are not about peace or genuine concern for the people of two warring countries, it is about the anti-American attitudes and the violence-inducing signs and slogans calling for violence against American Troops and President Bush.

Carrying signs calling on troops to kill their officers, to bomb Texas, for Bush to choke on a pretzel and die, for troops to shoot their officers, signs that call for communist revolution, starting fights with people who disagree with you while carrying a peace sign, trying to steal my money in Boston while carrying a peace sign and then telling me because you were shamed into giving back the money that means you are ok after all...

Things like that.

I will NOT stop using it. It is intended to make the peace protestor think.

After all the horrors we found in Iraq, you should all be thankful we went in and invaded to remove that madman. Yet, the mantra has changed, it is now against occupation! Still, not one PEACE NAZI has apologized and admitted we were right. All they do is complain that a people that were under slavery for 30 years have gone looting, and who do they blame? Why the US!! We did nothing to stop it! Maybe because we stayed out of the crowd because the PEACE NAZIS would have complained we didn’t let them vent their anger??

(As a side note, people who are now called PEACE NAZIS didn’t call on the LAPD or Federal Troops to stop the LA riots after the Rodney King riots, did they? They told us all to step back and let them vent their anger, yet all of a sudden, we are supposed to go in and use force to stop rioters in Iraq?)

We never intended to occupy a country like SYRIA has the last 20 years, and where are the PEACE NAZIS and their signs calling on SYRIA to leave Lebanon? They are non existent. The Syrians killed tens of thousands, chasing little children into bedrooms and shooting them point blank.

Did you know there was a Christian Community in Beirut before 1985? Now, they are almost either all killed or fled from the Syrian backed Junta, and not a peep from the PEACE NAZIS, only against American forces sent to Beirut to keep peace. Why arent the PEACE NAZIS arguing for the return of the Christian Community back to Beirut where they lived for 2 Millennium?

In fact, there is not a single country that we ever went to war with that we stayed as the government power for more than 10 years! We always returned it to the people.

And that brings up another point: PEACE NAZIS are NOT against war, they are against wars that the US is engaged in to overthrow pro-Communist or PRO-radical Islamic regimes or PRO-Maoist/PRO-Stalinist regimes.

My point here, is simple: These COMMIES are not for peace. If they were, they would have been screaming about Clinton killing innocents to keep his sexual scandals off the tv,

they would have been screaming for the Hutus and Tutsis to make peace,

they would have been screaming for that madman Saddam to stop killing Kurds or Iranians,

they would have been screaming for the Turks to stop killing Kurds or Greeks,

they would have been screaming for the Chinese to stop killing Vietnamese in 1982,

they would have been screaming for the Angolan Army to stop killing with the help of the Cuban Army in the 1980's,

they would have been screaming for the Muslims to stop killing Christians in Indonesia

They would have been screaming for the Sudanese to stop the torture and slave trade which continues today

They would have been screaming when the Syrians invaded Lebanon in 1985

They would have been screaming when Pol Pot started a genocide in 1975,

They would be screaming now about Mugabe killing all the white farmers in Africa in Zimbabwe

They would have been screaming at the murders caused by the African National Congress and their necklacing of prisoners and at Winnie Mandela who was convicted of murder, yet the communists are silent

They would have been screaming about Tiananmen Square, but they are silent.

They would have been screaming about the repression in Cuba and why so many people have chosen to flee in rickety little boats, but instead they lionize that dictator, Castro

They would have been screaming about the invasion of South Vietnam where the north started a genocide campaign in direct violation of the Paris Peace Accords of 1973 and caused over 2 million Vietnamese to flee in little boats that got picked up by ships like mine in 1981

They would be screaming at the Palestinians for their suicide bombings that intentionally target innocent school age children

Except, the only time they scream is when the US is at war against a tyrant who is support by Russia.

And since NAZI is one of the most vile insults you can give someone in our last two generations, I call them PEACE NAZIS, for they are not for peace, they are for war, they are for the overthrow of my country and into communism and anarchy, and they are a violent bunch who base their foundation on lies and the telling of lies and the repeating of lies.

Hypocrites! Whited sepulcres! When they have had a chance to be different they were the same. They criticize others for behaving the same way they do. We are pulling out of Bosnia now. So how long should we stay in Iraq. If we have troops in Iraq for less time than we were in Bosnia then we have succeeded.

I'll tell you where the "peace movement" was. On their knees. My term for those people neither requires an explanation, nor is it appropiate for this board. They want me to deny my faith, work my ass off for lazy people, take my money, corrupt and commit infanticide against children, not defend myself or my loved ones, feel guilty and pay for the actions of men long dead and of no connection to me, and then they want me to celebrate traitors and killers lives like holidays, while our countries real heroes are painted as baby killers and war-mongers. They're agents of Satan AFAIC.

We Communists believe that socialism is the very best replacement for a capitalist system that has served its purpose, but no longer meets the needs and requirements of the great majority of our people.

...and these people keep trying to figure out why Kerry lost? It just boggles the mind!

"Lefties should be proud of all their heroes: Lenin, Trotsky, Stalin, Hitler, Goebbels, Mussolini, and Castro are all the godfathers of the left. Embrace them! Acknowledge your pedigree! We'll stick with Madison, Jefferson, and Washington."

These people who tear at the fabric of our nation are just pitiful – by joining with our enemies they will be responsible for a continuing terrorist war.

You've said it all RaceBannon. I agree with the term Peace Nazis. What I don't understand is how they believe their own people won't turn on them and kill them. The first place they would run is to us if they were in danger. Keep leading, I'll help in getting the word out. Our younger generations need to know what America is and all that are attacking Her. Our younger ones that are in uniform now understand and are doing an excellent job in Iraq. God Bless America and all who defend Her; in or out of uniform.

If one takes an educated guess, chances are one will be right. For the past century, enemies of the West have exploited Western liberals - Lenin described them as 'useful fools', in WWII there were pacifists in Britain - in which Orwell described them as 'objectively pro - fascist', during the Cold War, Soviet agents infiltrated groups like CND (they only advocated Western disarmament - anyone who called on both sides to disarm, was called a warmonger), Greenpeace and Amnesty International (ignored the imprisonment of Soviet dissidents), and in recent times we see British MP, George Galloway, on Saddam's payroll - my point is, it is obviously The Axis of Evil who fund these groups.

On a final note; no where is the Anti - War hypocrisy more clear, than in Ireland, where the Hibernofascists of Sinn Fein/IRA are also 'anti - war'.

The last time there was a large anti-war movement was in the 60's and 70's when the MSM was filtering the news.

The MSM is no longer the dominent supplier of filtered news that it was back then, and I expect that the left will find out just how much time has changed if they attempt to try 1960's street tactics to a 2004 presidential inauguration.
