I visited the tomb of "Sue" in Jinzhou China last month. The body and artifacts were very well preserved. The silk robe and blanket still were almost completely intact, as were a number of wooden items. The tomb was estimated to be 2100 years old.

Sounds like they waste a lot of time and money over in Asia. Thanks blam.

So three days ago a "Russian Stonehenge" was uncovered, yesterday ATLANTIS was found, and today the Tomb of Ghengis Khan??? I think archaeologists are starting to fudge their discoveries, kinda like when a "New Dinosaur" was discovered every other day ten years ago and a "New Galaxy" here and there a few years back. Show me something more than a finger bone or a scrap of cement before such declarations are made.

So, once one reads the first two paragraphs, it becomes obvious that they use Democratic double speak. The answer is NO, they have not found his burial site. They do know they are on the right continent.

According to Shamanist beliefs, Mongolian people worshiped the soul of the deceased, not their remains, said Qi. Historical records say the white camel hair, to which the khan's soul was believed to adhere, was buried in the mausoleum on the Ordos Plateau.

All the more reason to find the tomb. Genghis was not a very nice person. We could dye the camel hair, perm it, hot roll it, and then beat the hell out of it.:)

It's too bad that one of his descendents couldn't have been in on the discovery. Then they could have said Khan found it!

The 800 soldiers and over 1,000 laborers who built the grave are said to have been killed to prevent anyone passing on its whereabouts.

I'll bet that was a surprise. The first temporary employment contract.

Oh no! Soon, he'll awaken, and control New York City with his uber-mental powers... and THEN he'll force some geeky scientist to make a super-powerful post-nuclear weapon out of the same material his currency was made out of... How can he be stopped? Only the Shadow can help us now...!

(God that was an awful movie... deserved the "Oliver Stone" award for totally butchering what should've been unbutcherable source material. Baldwin should've been exiled to France for that effort rather than just moaning about how he'd go there if Bush won.)

I personally hope they have not, nor do they ever find his tomb. I think some things should be left to the realm of mystery.

BUT, if they have, I sincerely hope they maintain the site without plundering it. I don't expect them to, but one can dream.
