Child-protection authorities said the mother had shown signs of postpartum depression in the past So why is she permitted to have children unsupervised???

A woman with a history of postpartum depression cut off the arms of her baby daughter ... they found the nearly 11-month-old baby ... Isn't 11 months a bit long for postpartum depression? Somebody out there please educate me. It just doesn't make sense to me.

if she would have done it 12 months earlier she would have the best lawyers of the ACLU protecting her.

Is this some kind of trend?
Or some kind of "sign of the times" we live in?
Words just escape me on this one...

I am so sick over this.
Having cut up many a chicken and despising it every time, it is hard to dis articulate a joint.
Thinking about doing it to a screaming child, and continuing despite the pain inflicted makes my soul hurt.
I actually think this is worse than the decapitations in Iraq.
I know this woman is nuts, but this poor, poor baby.
I know the Lord embraces this tiny one on his breast today to soothe the pain inflicted here on earth.
My God, What brutality.

It's horrible enough to use any method to murder your own child, but what kind of depravity brings you to the point where you could do something like this?

This story is just haunting. You think you've seen and heard about it all, and then something like this happens.
Guess its pointless to try to figure this out, I sure can't. Prayers for the innocent baby, but I don't feel so Christianly towards that psycho broad who killed her. Fry her.

PPD My ASS!!!!!!! This goes against every basic natural instinct. Mothers don't kill their children period!!!!! There is NO justification or reasoning that can lead someone to kill their child in such a heinous manner. This is one of the reason that I could never be a police officer....
