For those who don't know yet, Belling is back on the Air in Milwaukee and the internet (see URL above)
for background information of this topic, see http://www.freebelling.com
Opportunity lost?
I never saw the transcripts, but I am sure he made his UN PC remarks in the context of illegals crossing, if know MArk.
Who among us has not made some UN PC statement...
ducking and running . . . .
Is his nickname "The Cat"?
Quote Belling: "You watch the voter turnout on the near south side, heavily Hispanic, and compare it to the voter turnout in any other election, and you're going to see every wetback and every other non-citizen out there voting."
---
So now the question remains: Was he Correct?
that question was sucessfully obscured by the smokescreen the democraps put up because Mark foolishly choose a word that allowed that diversion. He will not make that mistake again.
Unfortunaly, Mark is the only true local conservative voice in MKE, and with his censorship, no one was around to bring the issue into the spotlight.
That's a long way of saying I don't know.
Thanks to all who supported Belling. He's a good man and didn't deserve this "controversy".
Had the station announced at the beginning that the suspension would last one week, I think most people would have begrudgingly accepted that and much angst could have been avoided.
Ok, the cynic in me here...IMHO, had the station announced at the beginning that the suspension would only last one week, there would have been little or no media coverage! Instead, this story was the center of controversy (along with WISN and Clear Channel) and the focus of a ton of publicity...even though some negative. Belling's ratings will probably be higher than ever, (which certainly doesn't hurt Clear Channel) at least in the short term.
That could be the reason they played it so close to the vest. If so, Clear Channel should be ashamed of the way it treated its customers. That's just not fair, to leave everyone hanging and wondering.
