Drudge and Herald Tribune ^ | 12 Nov 04 | Elisabeth Rosenthal

PARIS Even after Yasser Arafat's death Thursday morning, French health officials continued their stony silence about exactly what disease killed the Palestinian leader. And so, the man who lived so much of his life simply and in the public eye, died mysteriously, surrounded by secrecy.

After two weeks, the medical databases at Percy Military Training Hospital in Clamart must be crammed with information about Arafat's condition - scans, biopsies, reams of blood test results - that would have defined for doctors within minutes the condition of Arafat's kidneys, liver and lungs. But these remain top secret.

Rush was saying he went to Paris to die because they have "no cause of the death" there.

Yeh, he died of AIDS
The French do not have to say, and of course they wouldn't...being afraid of retaliation.

It could be the reason that Suha is getting 22 million per year. That much money can keep even the most greed of people quiet.

It's obvious to me, and I hope it's obvious to Hamas and Hezbollah, that the French killed him.

If it was AIDS, maybe he passed it onto the many world leaders he has exchanged siliva with over the years. Kofi and Jacque come to mind. It would be poetic justice indeed if he gave his admirers the gift that keeps on killing.

If Saddam was successful at bribing the Euros and Russians, why couldn't Arafat have been giving kickbacks to our friends the French, etc?

Now, now. We ALL know that if they identify his illness, and make it public knowlege, then they can't accuse the Israelis of poisoning him.

They've already hinted at this anyway. If anything, they're predictable. :-)

May the Lord watch over, and protect Israel!

I noticed video footage of Arafat, as they were loading him up for the trip to Paris. He was holding the hand of one of his supporters and attempted to kiss the guy's hand. The guy, still clutching Arafat's hand, pulled it away, as if he didn't want to catch something.
