I would assume Bush can trust him.
I know, it made me a little uneasy too. I had hoped for a more conservative person in there too. However, I don't know if pro-life issues are for conservatives alone! I have heard of pro-life liberals, and otherwise pro-abortion conservatives. It depends upon what a person is conservative or liberal about! I like some of what I see in Mr. Gonzales.
From what I understand, even though he tends to be pro-choice in regards to abortion, (maybe other things also); he is known to be good in interpreting the law according to the way it is written.(Texas case)And that is what GWB wanted in judges. But, he isn't up for a judgeship anywhere, so maybe he'll be ok.
