I have been receiving scores of letters and phone calls on the topic of Yasser Arafat's demise. Some are worried about what will happen after he dies, some are feeling a fresh breeze of justice, and some are just making jokes in relief at the idea that this evil man is finally meeting his Maker.
May I say, here and now, that I couldn't be happier at his condition? Arafat is the Father of Modern Day Terrorism. This is the man that is responsible for your delays and hassles at airports. As Binyamin Netanyahu said, "Sky-jacking terrorism first began against Israeli targets abroad by Arafat and Fatah in the late 1960s, and it very quickly became an international plague..." Yassar Arafat is the man who ruthlessly killed and sent out killers to murder men, women and children around the globe in embassies, at Olympic Games, in cafes, during holiday celebrations, on busses, in schools and in people's own homes.
This is the 'darling of the media' who laughed as he lied to Westerners in their languages and then spoke in his native Arabic tongue to his Arab brothers telling them not to listen to what he had said to the 'infidels'. This is a man who killed innocent people for the simple reason that they were Jews. In his hate, he has killed Christians as well. He 'killed Jesus' on Christmas when he took over Bethlehem celebrations in Manger Square, removing the decorations and replacing them with his own giant picture. The Christian Arabs were dumbfounded, but what could they do with this new terror leader in the green uniform, packing a gun, with his henchmen at his side?
Yasser Arafat has directed, funded and implemented the killings of American citizens, as well as Israeli citizens. He stole money, and counterfeited millions, to fund his terror. In the 1960s and '70s, he murdered his Arab brothers in Jordan. In the '70s and '80s, he killed Christians and Muslim Arabs in Lebanon, and in the '90s, until today, he has killed his own citizens living inside the 'Palestinian Authority'.
This monster has gallons and gallons of blood on his hands and I am relieved at his demise.
The wisest man in the world, King Solomon, wrote in Kohelet (Ecclesiastes) 1-8, "Everything has its season, and there is a time for everything under the heaven: A time to be born, a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot the planted... a time to love and a time to hate." This my friends, is a time to hate.
We should hate Arafat for all the suffering he has brought upon the Jewish People. We should hate Arafat for the blood the of innocents he has spilled, then condemning that same murder in front of the world's media. We should hate him for the suffering and injustice he has kept his Arab subjects under, while stuffing away donated money from Israel and the world into his private bank accounts. We should hate him for paying $10,000 a day for his wife Suha to take up a floor in a top Paris hotel, being pampered by her many staff, while he encourages Arab children and their parents to blame the Jews for all their suffering. We should hate him for taking a population blessed by their Jewish cousins with universities, hospitals and schools (something they never got from their Arab brothers) and making them into human bombs, unleashing them on Jewish population centers. We should hate Arafat for accepting a peace prize, when he has sowed nothing but wars, death and misery for humanity.
It is said that Arafat wants to be buried on our Temple Mount, the holiest place on Earth for Jews. The Israeli government is afraid that riots may break out and that a surge of terror attacks could follow if Arafat's carcass is not brought back here to be buried. Taking this into consideration, this is what I hope: I hope that Arafat stays 'only' brain-dead, and that he is kept on life support, and that he vegetates there for years, so we don't have to think about burying him at all. I hope that his carcass rots there in that hospital room in Paris so long that the world forgets about him, that 'his people' forget about him, and that spider webs grow in his nostrils for the lack of interest in him.
It is amazing that the whole world does not despise this man who chose to be evil, a man who has lied to, murdered and raped his own Arab people. Yasser Arafat's whole life is a lie, even his claims to be a 'Palestinian'. He was born in August of 1929, in Cairo, to a middle-class family; he chose to leave his studies in order to kill Jews in the name of freeing a region once called 'Palestine'. Never mind that this started in the early 1960's, when there was nothing to liberate, as Judea, Samaria and Gaza were 'occupied' by the Jordanians and Egyptians at that time. These Jewish Biblical lands only came back into our hands in 1967, years after Arafat began his terror campaign.
Why the world has any warm feeling about this man can only be explained in that they must hate the Jews more than they hate Arafat and his terrorism. If Bin Laden were diagnosed suddenly with some disease or other, would America let Bin Laden have free passage to a Paris hospital, and then cover his demise so sentimentally in the media, as they are now doing with Arafat? I cannot imagine such a scenario.
My father is a Holocaust survivor. He told me that a victim needs to have justice in order to heal. He and others with him in the Holocaust, who saw their families tortured and murdered, needed retribution. They needed and wanted to see the Nazis dead. To go on in life knowing that their oppressors still walked this earth and laughed and drank and ate was a concept they could not accept after all they had been through. They hated the Nazis for their voluntary evil doings, and they needed this closure. My father also pointed out that when Moses helped to liberate the Jews from their brutal slavery in Egypt, and when the Egyptian army still came to force them back into slavery, the waters of the Red Sea swallowed them up. Afterwards, the bodies of the Egyptians were washed ashore on the side to which the Jews had crossed. The Jews saw these bodies. They needed this closure. They needed to see their evil oppressors dead.
Aside from letting this monster Arafat vegetate in bed and rot to oblivion, I only wish that his victims had a chance to get at him. This would be a healing closure for them. They would see an ounce of justice and some sort of vindication for their suffering.
You may be shaking your head, thinking that to hate is always wrong, but it is not I saying there is a time to hate. It was the wisest man in the world who said this. We must use this hate at the right time, in the right way, and vindicate the victims. We must make an example for all other evildoers, and eliminate this darkness from the planet. Yasser Arafat used his hate for wickedness. We need to find the hate and use it for good, as intolerance for evil, and bring light to the world.
I have a righteous colleague who says that he will not rejoice over Arafat's demise, because Arafat has been a tool of G-d for bringing history to this place in time and saving Israel from itself, from making suicidal concessions to appease the world and be accepted. It was because of Arafat's doing, that these deals and offers never materialized. And although what my colleague says is true, I still find joy in Arafat's demise. I find release. I feel some of the tension of life leave my body, and it is healing. Hitler was also some type of tool that was a catalyst for the Jewish State, but I am glad Hitler is dead and has no grave. The Jewish people, at the right time, need to learn to hate like our enemies do. We have suffered for centuries, and today we see our citizenry still dying, being ripped from their homes and the world either applauds it, or is apathetic to it. If we don't care, if we don't hate, and use that hate to fight the injustice and double-standard predicament we are in, then we will continue to lose our children to terror, lose our land to terrorists and lose our self respect as a nation. A time to love, a time to hate.
I love life. I love a world that has peace and justice, and I hate those who choose to take these things away from us all. I, for one, am glad that Arafat is, in nearly every sense, dead and gone. For the sake of peace, justice and goodness for all mankind, we should learn to hate evil, never tolerate it.

It's too bad that on his death ARAFAT can't be accorded the same level of dignity for burial as was accorded Adolf Eichmann.
It then become our duty to hasten them onto a higher authority for final judgement.
This is not hatred, it is common sense.
Two words basically sum up Arafat:
Can't and Won't
He either refused to stop the terror groups supposedly under his command or he did not have the power to do so.
If there was any justice he would have died to a palestinian homicide bomber like in the Joel Rosenberg book. Those who live by the sword (or bomb) deserve to die that way.
The world will be *so* much better off without him. The Palestinians can finally get about the business of having their civil war, bomb each other to oblivion and we can sit back laughing our asses off as Israel refuses to "help".

Arafat was a scam man. Palis were poster children for the charity he looted for himself. Peace is bad for business, so he sent terrorists to continue the cycle. How come so many people fall for this lame scam?
die, Die, DIE araRATfink. Your victims are lined up for your arrival. Just hope Israel "sticks to her guns" and refuse burial in Jerusalem of araRAT's body. He's a terrorist with innocents blood on his hands; he is not nor will he ever be a king. His burial in Jerusalem would be a symbol for the pali people to keep demanding the whole of Jerusalem, like they've been doing for decades.
i agree with the general tone of the article. the time to hate was in the 1970s, 1980s, 1990s, and 2000-2004. hatred can spurn positive action for good. now is a time for celebration.
