We stood in lines, our voter registration clutched in hand and waited. And, it didn't happen. Some of us stood, sweating in the heat; others shivered in the cold or the snow or the rain. And it didn't happen.
It didn't happen today, or yesterday, or over the weekend. It was something many of us expected, and it didn't happen.
The al-Qaieda terrorist attack that many of us felt certain was headed toward America, DIDN'T happen. The blood didn't run in the street as had been promised. There were no bombs, no attacks; nothing but election lines and snafus.
If you didn't notice that we weren't attacked, thank President Bush, Tom Ridge and the Department of Homeland Security. They all did their jobs and kept us from being the new Spain.
In the morning, pray that you wake up to hear that the President has been re-elected. Future elections might not be so peaceful if Kerry manages to pull it out.
But, for tonight, we all go to bed safer and more secure because of the man who has occupied the WH since 2001.

thank God we weren't attacked. I was so worried about it that I refused to ride the commuter trains here in NJ in the month before the election. But then I am a worrier by nature :)

An awful lot of people have been working very hard to make sure that the IslamoFacists are occupied else where. Hopefully, tonight, the majority of Americans will say thank you George W. Bush!
No attacks because they know we have a real leader in the White House, and there would be 4 more years looking over their shoulder wondering where Bush would strike next. Because a real leader does not need UN permission to strike back......

He couldn't mount a 9/ll attack again, but Americans like Michael Moore may have convinced him that a threat was the cheap and easy way to go.

Because Kerry would dither for months and months, meeting with Eurinals and resolving disputes among the folks he owes. The terrorists would have to attract his attention, do something that would cause him to turn from his elitist activities and negotiate with them.
Bush? Nah, they know what he'd do. But Kerry, they'd have to focus his attention!!
