As a black Southern conservative, Michael King says he has felt "antagonized" by the NAACP. So when he learned Friday that the IRS was investigating whether the nonprofit civil rights organization violated restrictions on political activity, he said his first thought was: It's been a long time coming.
"If you don't march in step with their views, they have no use for you," said King, 41, about the NAACP. "On the contrary, they will do everything that they can to tear you down."

King, who lives in Atlanta and is a member of the black conservative group Project 21, said the NAACP has universally supported Democratic candidates, excluding right-leaning blacks, like himself, from seeking membership. He applauded an investigation into what he called the NAACP's illegal behavior.

My best hypothesis is that the IRS investigation of the NAACP was not in any manner directed by the Bush administration. It's more likely that some mid or low-level bureaucrat leaked news of an investigation, out of fear that President Bush would do better than in 2000 with black voters. I wouldn't be surprised if the whole was done in collusion with that rabid Republican-hater Julian Bond. I don't ususally don a tin-foil hat, but I am with regard this alleged investigation.

Did you get federal protection while there?? just kidding, i went to finish up some of my registration issues with the university of minnesota friday and stopped in the school's official bookstore to buy a sweatshirt of the school for my super proud mom, and they were selling anti-bush paraphenelia. michael moore's "books" were on the front counter and the workers were all wearing democrat pins. These poor 17/18 year olds dont have a chance at making up their own minds. it is just crazy at a state run, publicly funded school that it is allowed to visiably sell/promote one view. theres my rant
