Why We Should Worry About Fraud (Vanity)

It is accepted at this point that fraud will be a byproduct of this election. The fear is that random individuals or rogue election boards will engage in stuffing ballot boxes in the hopes of swaying the election in states where the vote is tight. The problem could be much more serious, and more organized, than we realize.

The Democratic party is run by baby boomers who came of age during the 1960s. This is a generation that was raised on the concept that a crime here and there is fully justifiable if it is committed in the name of "peace" and "justice." For most Democrats, George Bush stole the election in 2000. And the war that Bush started has given them their first excuse in 35 years to do what they do best: civil disobedience.

Just read the headlines and you'll see prominent and well known Democrats accusing Karl Rove of everything from dressing up as a terrorist to fabricating the Osama bin Laden tape. If they believe this, then you can count on them doing what ever it takes to win. The fact that these people are obvious sociopaths is beside the point. The reality is that Democrats at the highest levels may consider it their moral imperative to facilitate illegal voting.

The Kerry campaign has already forecast their intentions. Kerry himself has said that he plans to declare victory early if the election is disuputed. This is imortant, because even if it is found out months later that Kerry won due to fraudulent votes, it will be nearly impossible to change the result. Americans tend to move on quickly, and they won't have the stomach to right the wrong. We at Free Republic might, but sadly, we do not represent the apathetic mainstream.

The media -- also part of that baby boomer generation -- represent just as serious a problem. The actions of CBS, ABC, and the New York Times last week should convince reasonable people once and for all that the media is biased (note I used the work "reasonable." Juan Williams saw nothing suspicious at all in the last minute, and obviously flimsy weapons story). The media is engaging in a little civil disobediance of their own. The one thing that Dan Rather proved is that you can commit the worst kind of journalistic fraud imaginable, and no one will be talking about it a month later. In other words, you can release any number of false and misleading stories and short of temporary embarrasment, life will go on uninterrupted. I'm sure these people have some sense of pride, but if the goal is to remove President Bush then they can accept a little shame. Besides, they obviously don't care what the public thinks, and their colleagues would regard a bald faced lie that unseats Bush as a badge of honor.

The point of my post is to disabuse anyone of the notion that fairness or decency will save the day. If you're a journalist or a powerful DNC aparachik, why wouldn't you use your power to defeat the President? It's no risk, all reward. And, again, they came of age breaking laws in the name of what they call justice. A guy like John Kerry is their patron saint; he made a name for himself singing their tune. The fact that Kerry lied is beside the point. That he might have been dishonerably discharged is irrelevant. To Left wing radicals, that kind of thing is good, not bad, because it was in pursuit of justice.

I think President Bush will win. I really do. But this election is close, and if it's stolen who is going to defend the rule of law? I don't know.

There is a risk, it's called the 2nd Amendment. Like minded folks will find each other and utilize it.

Worse than anything mentioned here is the fact that they took over the schools and have indoctrinated another entire generation to follow them with the same amoral beliefs. I don't feel sorry for me because I won't be here that long to see my country destroyed, but my children and their children will probably not even know what they missed.

Click the picture & goto "last" for the latest on Vote Fraud:

...and a note from your compiler of links- near the "last" are links about ACORN, Project Vote, PIGRIM, and other far-Left pressure groups who hide under the "activist" label while subverting representative government.

These nasty characters demean and dilute the value of everyone's vote.

The plan, besides their hope of throwing the election to sKerry, is to so thoroughly corrupt the election results that Mr. Bush will either not be taken seriously, or open to impeachment.

You had better take this stuff seriously- it is a dagger aimed at the heart of the Republic.
