Four years ago in this space, a simple political rule-of-thumb was put forth in an attempt to slash through all the confusing polls and hot-air punditry surrounding the Presidential race. It's a simply theory: The cool guy wins (see BW Online, 8/4/00, "Cool Guys Finish First").
(snip)
The difference between Bush's tortured data-twisting and Kerry's self-serving hyperbole is that nobody has died because of the Democrat's alleged fabrications and prevarications.
The rabid Swift Boat Veterans for Truth can rant all they want about whether Kerry deserved three Purple Hearts, two Purple Hearts, or no Purple Hearts. Who cares? He went into combat for his country. And if he came back as an angry and impulsive young man and spoke out against the Vietnam War, he had every right to do so because he had paid his dues.
The subtext of the vicious attacks on Kerry isn't just that he denounced the war, but that he broke ranks with his elitist brother officers to denounce the war. It's telling that the enlisted men who served directly under Kerry almost all support him. A candidate who has been in firefights and retains the loyalty of his men -- that's cool.

ain't it grand how liberals can infiltrate a supposed pro-business magazine and completely destroy it?
You got that right. The long march to control everything. Well we'll see about that come Tuesday!
IF SKerry wins I'm moving to a red state. I'm in Philadelphia now.
Tell that to those who witnessed the killing fields in Cambodia.
No joke. Where do they come off
Nice try, Ciro.
Oops. Where do they come off claiming Jean Fraude's cool? They never saw the football-catch shot?
Eff this effin jackass of an author!
They thoughtfully included his email address at the bottom.
Kerry will not win, (But Monkey) what a waste it would be if Kerry won, Pres. Bush ran to the left only to have us go farther to the left. He could have done everything conservative in office so it would not be so bad.

How many died in Vietnam? That was a Democrat fabrication.
What a pantload of traitorous crap!
Don't tell it here, tell this scumbag --

Make a point to tell him how pretty he looks in his picture. He's almost blowing kisses.
And if he came back as an angry and impulsive young man and spoke out against the Vietnam War, he had every right to do so because he had paid his dues.
I served my whole 12 month tour. I paid 3 times more dues than JF'n. That didn't that give me a right to come back and do what he did.
I paid my dues, came home in Nov 1971 to an angry country thanks to JF'n and his pack of lies. Kerry belong in Leavenworth Prison, not 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.
OK, I'm done.
I sent this scumbag an email. Here it is:
What a load of crap !!!! John F. Kerry did NOT pay his dues and did not have the right to trash 2,000,000 plus vets that served in Nam. Nobody died as a result of John F. Kerry. Mr Scotti, you need to do your homework better before you write another article like this. Thousands of Americans either died or suffered severe trauma, about 2,500,000 people in Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos died as a result of this traitor's actions.
Suggest you stick with writing business articles, because your political writing can easily be picked apart by a novice writer. I don't expect that you would write a retraction of your gross errors in this article (if you researched and determined that you were completely wrong). Maybe you can team up with the folks that call themselves journalists at the NYT or perhaps even CBS. They write with the same blindness you did in this article.
Again, please do your homework here and I'll be looking for a retraction.
I served 12 months to the day in Vietnam. What am I entitled to?
I was going to post all those souls murdered by Saddam during Clinton's reign.
Where did this data-twister come from?
