Who? Judge Elihu Smails, the character in the film Caddyshack who asks of the obnoxious but lovable Al Czervick (played by Rodney Dangerfield), “Good Lord, what has this buffoon done now?”

As a special tribute to Judge Smails, every week we will issue this award to the biggest buffoon of the week … the person who, through his or her actions or public statements, has made a buffoon of themselves and everyone associated with them. Please note that since we slam Kerry on a daily basis, and he could win every week,he and his family are ineligible for this prestigeous award. We also ask Kerry Crushers to send in your nominations (no limits, so keep them coming). All we ask is that you tell us why you’re nominating the person, and include a link to any relevant stories.

Thanks to all the Kerry Crushers who sent in nominations for this week's award. We could be nice and chalk it up to senility, given that he's just had his 80th birthday. But having listened to this pompous, self-righteous, dictator-loving jackass since the 1970's we know he's just saying what he's always thought. This week's Elihu Smails "Buffoon of the Week award goes to none other than former President Jimmy "Peanuthead" Carter.

What has this arrogant buffoon done recently. Well, let's first start with his comment earlier this week to former Smails winner, Chrissy "I Squat To Pee" Matthews. that like the war in Iraq, the American Revolutionary War was "unnecessary". How could it have been avoided? Well, says Jimmy, if the British parliament had been a bit more "sensitive" we could have gotten our independence in a "non-violent way". Yeah, Jimmy, a lot like under your disastrous administration every two bit thug supported by the Commies thought they could move into our backyard. And your "sensitivity" sure did a lot for the poor folks in Afghanistan and Central America didn't it? And I'm sure Kim Jong Il, and your ass-buddy Castro are nothing but poor, misunderstood dictators?

To top it all off, this embarrassment even claimed that the American Revolutionary War was "the Revolutionary War, more than any other war up until recently, has been the most bloody war we've fought". Oh really? Well, our quick research tells us that about 4,400 Americans died in that (unnecessary) war of independence. Hey, that's only about 42,000 short of the number of those who died at Gettysburg - in 3 FREAKING DAYS And it's about equal to the 3,000 Americans killed on 9/11, and the combined number of those killed in Afghanistan and Iraq. But see that's the problem with Carter - to him it' s not a war. Is it any wonder that with his math skills, we had the worst economy ever?

But this peanut picker delivered the coup-de-grace later in the week to wrap up his victory. It seems Jimmy told his ideological brothers in arms at The Guardian that President Bush is exploiting the suffering of 9/11 for his own benefit. He also claimed that the President has failed to make the world a safer place. Yeah, right. Unlike you Jimmy, who have aided and abetted some of the most brutal dictators the world has ever seen, from Kim Jong Il, Chavez in Venezuela, Castro, Arafat, and even Saddam. (Remember the letter you sent to the UN on the eve of Gulf War I asking nations to thwart Bush 41's attempt to remove Hussein from Kuwait? Well we do. And we think it was damn close to treason.

Honestly, can someone please tell us just how we ever elected this clown President. If he didn't exist you couldn't make up a bigger fool. No wonder he'll always be known as an ineffective fool, and remembered only for the "misery index". Unfortuantely he can't just shut his hole and swing a hammer, but has to keep inflicting misery on us. But then again, his utter foolishness does qualify him for the great honor of being the buffoon of the week.

"Honestly, can someone please tell us just how we ever elected this clown President(?)"

As I remember it, the media anointed him early in the democrap primaries with all sorts of "up-close-and-personal" pieces. The angle was that he was a Naval Academy grad and a brainy atomic submariner. He was an unknown mediocrity until then. What we got was the worst president in history to that point. Incredibly Clinton managed to make Carter look like a statesman by comparison.

In short, we have the media to thank for Carter's election and Clinton to thank for lending him some relative public stature in his old age. If skerry were elected we might be looking back at the Clinton years as the "good old days."

This is tough. So many a-holes, so little time. Jimmah, of course, could retire the award if there weren't so many trying to squeeze him out. Joe Biden makes me ill even if I just catch a glimpse of his doll-hair when channel surfing. Richard Holbrooke the same. But THIS week I think you should consider Lawrence O'Donnell for his outrageous rant against the Swifties on Scarborough Country. This Demo pissant and strategist raised the level of discussion by screaming "Liar" at John O'Neill about forty times in two minutes and refusing to permit any response. Thank God that nobody watches MSNBC. Or maybe it would be better if more did. Absolute jerk.

I have to agree, why is Dan Blather not at the top of this list?

Of course all the rest belong there too!
