NBC Nightly News backtracks on Al Qaqaa story, accuses Bush camp of misrepresenting their report
NBC Nightly News | October 26, 2004

Posted on 10/26/2004 3:42:13 PM PDT by Dont Mention the War

Well, the MSM is out to get Bush again. NBC Night News led with a long report about Al Qaqaa, essentially backtracking on last night's story and turning into a "we don't know what happened" story that was somewhat slanted to imply that the missing weapons were the U.S.'s fault no matter what.

Then Tom Brokaw personally went out of his way to note that "what the Bush campaign is claiming is not what we said last night."

Then another report by major league liberal David Gregory, saying the White House is itself backtracking and that Bush is refusing to answer questions about Al Qaqaa.

Those of you who get 7:00 p.m. feeds or live out west, may want to tape this and make it avilable for viewing.

Expect Chrissie Matthews to go berzerk on Hardball tonight, assuming he didn't get lazy and tape the show early like he has been lately.

No doubt about it. I'm sure NBC got lots of flak from others in the media elite.

I've finally come to the conclusion that today's journalist is an idiot.

And you all thought this would hurt the MSM. Sheesh, read the signs, people. Remember Rathergate? Well, Freepers do, but the rest of the country could give a rat's a$$ about that story.

Where's the RNC in all of this? They should be having daily press conferences killing Kerry on his record and his lies.

Well, now the anchor at NBC News is now calling out the White House as liars. The MSM has no shame, and now they are exposed as the partisan hacks they are.

Too bad. We watched the news last night, we have it in tape and on screen captures, and WE'VE got the story now.

So sad...

MSM - Saddam's explosives were stolen from lax security after the Americans found they were missing. That's the ticket.

Well what do you expect when President Bush's response is "No comment"?

But then I'm probably just a newbie troll from DU who is ignoring Karl Rove's 'genius' plan. Yeah, he's got an October surprise(which will never appear), he's got a 'genius' strategy of holding his fire(until after the election) and not refuting the Kerry/media lies, no need to explain, yeah its a rope-a-dope doncha know, and he'll have Bush bypass the media and speak directly to the people in the debates.

Oh wait...

From CBS News Site

...Where Saddam, his son and the cash are now is the subject of speculation. One report cited by The New York Times says a convoy of tractor-trailers crossed into Syria, but the contents of the trucks was unknown. ...

This is gonna get real uncomfortable for John Kerry. It looks like the head of the IAEA is lying and Kerry is willing to take his word over the word of people who were at Al Qa Qaa (our soldiers)

They are not idiots, but they are dying on the vine as they make themselves non-essential for news by showing they are extended arms of Democrats for Democrats in EVERY ELECTION.

Since the internet has been used more by everyone and the truth of matters get known, the main stream liberal press are losing INFLUENCE, CREDIBILITY or any ability to be LUCRATIVE.

Who cares what NBC news said last night. I care more about what they saw 19 months ago. They can spin this however they want -- they've been busted.
