Kerry wants answers on missing explosives
PORTSMOUTH, New Hampshire (AFP) - Democrat challenger John Kerry's campaign Monday demanded answers from President George W. Bush about the disappearance of nearly 400 tonnes of conventional explosives in Iraq, as the deadlocked White House race entered its final week. In a campaign underpinned by the basic question of who will make Americans safer, the Kerry camp pounced on revelations of the missing explosives, on a day when it also expects a boost from the return of former president Bill Clinton to the campaign trail.
"Today, the Bush administration must answer for what may be the most grave and catastrophic mistake in a tragic series of blunders in Iraq," senior Kerry advisor Joe Lockhart said in a statement dispatched before sunrise.
"How did they fail to secure nearly 380 tons of known, deadly explosives despite clear warnings from the International Atomic Energy Agency to do so? Why was this information unearthed by reporters -- and was it covered up by our national security officials?"
This is going to be funny! lol
Heh
No way the MSM reports the debunking of the NYT hit piece as loudly as they reported the original false story.
open up a news paper, turn on the tv, go to work or ask a little 5 year old, any of these will be able to tell you about the explosives.
All the networks and the NYT had this orchestrated with the Kerry Camp and everyone yelled wolf at the same time. Funny how stupid they are now when it is a proven fact that they were missing before our troops were there. But folks these folks are gonna pay for their lies and tricks when the American people reject them and their sponsors.
Report: Explosives already gone when U.S. troops arrived (CNN reporting on this now)
Kerry should be VERY careful with GW. Even if he "wins" GW will be president until Jan. 20th 2005.
While he's at it, maybe he can give some answers on his missing military records and his wife's missing tax returns. And his missing war diary. And his missing Senate record.
we already have the answers. Its too bad the media will continue to carry the leftist water and ignore the facts.
If Kerry wants answers - he should call NBC - one of their reporters was imbedded with our military who first located the weapons site - it was EMPTY ON DAY ONE OF THE WAR.
"Kerry You Cant Handle the Truth"
Yes, it is.......LOL.......and it's good for at least two whole days of news' cycles!
The reporter embedding was one of the smartest things we did in the war.
And don't forget CBS.
Then again, the White House seems to have no freaking clue about what went on. Hard to believe they're this out of the loop...
Yeah, we've got your answer right here, Senator ____up. The joke's on you...again.
