Well, I guess someone has to prop up Kerry. Today it's Rasmussen. He must have concentrated his polling in and around New York City and San Francisco. It certainly goes counter to all the other polls out today.

Wow, talk about your wild outliers: TIPP +8, Zogby bragging about a +7
one-day sample, and Rasmussen posts this?

There is only one poll that's going to count. Personally, I'm sick of all the other polls.

Let's see Washington Post results. TIPP and Zogby see this thing moving in W's direction

You failed to mention that, with "leaners", Bush is ahead by +2.

The polls are downright funny.

Zogby with Bush up 3 , up 8 in TIPP, down 2 in Rasmussen.

Anybody paying attention to polls at this point would go crazy, LOl!

Wish you were right. Says K49 Bush48 with leaners.

This is very strange. Rasmussen says Kerry has led for three days in a row now.

It reads that with leaners Kerry49, Bush 48. Rasmusen does seem to be the outlier.

Can this be right?

I'm no expert. It might be right...and it might be wrong.

Isn't there some "margin of error" that the Democrats think is important lately?

The results of this year’s Weekly Reader poll have just been announced, and the winner is President Bush. Hundreds of thousands of students participated, giving the Republican President more than 60% of the votes cast and making him a decisive choice over Democratic Senator John Kerry.

Rassie mentions that Kerry lead on all three days of polling. My calcs off Rokke's data show Bush 47.2/43.7/48.3 and Kerry 49.3/48.1/47.8, so we aren't quite right in the estimate.

Maybe Rasmussen is reverting to form of being the most inaccurate pollster? He's certainly swimming against the tide now given what Zogby and TIPP are saying.

Kerry's Dishonorable Discharge

"...As many Vietnam veterans who served their nation with dignity and honor will recall,
Jimmy Carter's first official act as president was the signing
Executive Order 11967

and Presidential Proclamation 4483
http://www.usdoj.gov/pardon/carter_proclamation.htm

--less than an hour after his inauguration on 21 January 1977. EO 11967 and Presidential Proclamation 4483
provided general amnesty for draft evaders, war protesters and other offenders of that era.

Its corresponding, and equally dubious, DoD directive took effect in March of 1977,

expanding that amnesty to include separation from military service by other than honorable discharges.

The DoD specified an appeal procedure whereby discharges could be reviewed on an individual basis
to determine whether the status of a particular discharge could be revised..."
