How about getting Nugent to do a commercial that the NRA supports Bush. I'm very serious. The union vote could be persuaded by it.

You must have missed Arnold and Rudy at the GOP convention.

The focus is not humor right now...it is the war on terror and who is fit to command. Note that the SwiftVet ads are the most effective of the season. They deliver the right message. Rodney Dangerfield (RIP) isn't the way to go when highlighting the differences between Bush and sKerry.

That being said, I'd seriously consider it funny if Jimmy Swaggart did an ad claiming that Edwards was stealing his act (everyone gets healed if Kerry is elected).

An ad showing Kerry and Edwards doing their continuous groping and hugging of each other on the campaign trail...followed by Mary Cheney asking if the Johns were born that way or if it was a choice would also be amusing.

However, it would detract from Bush's strength on national security to play such a game.

Then of course George P. Bush is so drop-dead gorgeous, just having him endorse his uncle and maybe lilt a little in his "Spanglish" would make a nice ad during the day for the soap-opera heads.

I guess that would reach the shallow yet pandering sector of the nation.

Good grief.

I would love to see one that has John Kerry whining about not getting enough support from our allies, while the video portion shows headlines about the Oil-for Food scandal. Then the final question: Is there really anyone out there who does not know why we were ot supported by our "allies"?

"We are dealing with a president who's had a record of strong, consistent support for Israel. You can't say otherwise."

Put that on every major media outlet in Florida.

GOP needs an ad that contrasts Kerry's call for building a coalition, and "global test" before going to war, with his vote against the Gulf War, with it's massive coalition (including Syria) and UN Security Council approval. The President mentioned it during the last debate but Kerry's vote against the Gulf War so undercuts his current position, and questions his commitment to American safety, that this needs to be hammered home. And, it is a simple and understandable subject for an ad. Even political commentators have asked why the the GOP hasn't made more of this over the past few months and I agree with them. Kerry can't run from his record on this, but the GOP is letting him hide. It's time to turn over the rock.

Liberal.

Borrow and Spend Liberal.

Elect Kerry and he will borrow and spend our money like there is no tomorrow. Who will pay for Kerry's borrowing? Who will pay for Kerry's spending?

You will. Your children will. Your grandchildren will.

Vote Bush for fiscal responsibility. The conservative choice.

On one of the local empty channels where only text is seen, I saw where the text said:

God is neither a Democrat nor a Republican, but God is watching to see how both candidates treat the poor.

I thought a little change to the text might be good, like:
...but God is watching to see how each candidate treats the unborn.

I would take the spitballs clip ("U.S. forces armed with what? Spitballs?") from Senator Zell Miller's classic speech at the convention, and re-play it at the end of several of Senator Kerry's recent calls to end various arms programs, such as bunkerbuster arms:

Senator Kerry clip: "Right now the president is spending hundreds of millions of dollars to research bunker-busting nuclear weapons. The United States is pursuing a new set of nuclear weapons. It doesn't make sense."

Senator Miller riposte: "U.S. forces armed with what? Spitballs?"

I think four or five of those nutty calls to slash military spending, each answered by the same Miller clip, might make an effective advertisement.

I saw Ted Nugent on TV yesterday speaking plain talk telling people to get out and vote. He did not say vote for the President but he was wearing a cowboy hat. Just used his way of speaking to urge people to vote. It was for GOAV. A get out and vote org.

At the very end they showed a small bugger king logo on the screen. So I guess they sponsered it.

How about an ad aimed squarely at the families of our reservists! They strongly support Bush and the Nuge blasting his tune "Weekend Warriors" and the background will definitely make it rock the vote!

Have a deep serious voiced announcer say Kerry has a long record of raising taxes. Don't let him put a stranglehold our burgeoning economy. A strong economy means more tax revenues and a lower deficit. While the announcer is saying this show video of a wrestler getting a citizen in a strangle hold and then say a vote for Bush is a vote for a strong economy and have him break the hold and stand up on his feet and say whew...thank God I voted for Bush.
Have the t-shirt on the wrestler say tax and spend John Kerry (with $'s on it) and the shirt on the citizen say John Q Citizen.
This would resonate with men who are visually orientated.
