Many of them have false teachings telling them that prophecy was for way back when and there are no prophets today. WRONG!
I know John Willis. This is rather shocking to me. I will need to research this.
Better watch out, now. Folks around here are real touchy about revelation. Most of them will drop on you like a ton of bricks unless you swear that there is no revelation since biblical days.

I have always considered it to be ironic that some can deny modern revelation and yet claim they can get answers to prayers. Sort of makes one wonders where their answers are coming from.
They may be dyslectic aethists - praying to Dog?
