"The man is dangerous and exhibits many tendancies of the criminal mind, as does his side-kick."

Definitely. They can both lie brazenly with a straight face--they've shown that in the debates. They are professional con-men.

... shows a kid how to debate and deliberate and how and where to get information other than in the liberal media of from comrade fuzzy thinker up there at the board.

Thanks, as always, for the kind words, Mike.

Coincidentally, I had quite a disheartening, heated discussion with a 'comrade' tonight. Don't exactly know how it would have registered on your 'how to debate and deliberate' scale, though. :)

I crossed paths during my 'rounds' with a woman perhaps my age -- mid-fifties -- very affluent, well-spoken. Not a dupe/useful idiot, but apparently an avowed socialist. Not only is she immovable in her belief that socialism is the ticket to success for our republic, but she is of the belief that it was our own capitalist greed, insensitivity to other cultures, and imperialist behavior that brought on the 9/11 debacle. The Muslim fanatics were, in effect, justified in perpetrating what they did. She had nothing at all good to say about our heritage and founding principles. I don't know how a person can place so little value on human freedom, and the awful sacrifices that have been made over the centuries to preserve it -- not to mention granting credence and a type of convoluted respect to the bloodthirsty radical Muslim mindset.

I rarely, if ever, raise my voice in conversation, no matter how frustrated I become. Tonight, I found myself starting to yell, so had to end the conversation at that point and leave. I told her that there was obviously going to be no meeting of the minds, and that I felt I could better use my time talking with people who had some appreciation for the visions and values that made this country great. She responded that our greatest days lie ahead, and that John Kerry represents the kind of leadership that will lead us down the path to that (socialist) utopia – at which point I assured her that I would then be seeking a detour of my own making in which I will attempt to isolate and protect myself and my family as much as possible from my own government and the violent forces from outside of our borders, who are obsessed with our annihilation, and who will be emboldened by such 'leadership'. And those were the last words we exchanged.

Sat outside on the curb (out of vision of her house) to compose myself, and everything was fine from then on. The conversations I had with many others tonight were very uplifting, and I believe I changed some minds and opened some eyes. But this gal was absolutely immovable and despicable in her degradation of this country, and her immoral elevation of our enemies.

I am also infuriated (vast understatement) by Elizabeth Edwards' comment today regarding Lynne Cheney’s maternal feelings for her daughter. The audacity and conceit exhibited by these elitists is inexcusable. How dare she have the arrogance to even speculate as to how another mother feels about her daughter as a result of her sexual orientation – and to do so in public, especially. Kerry and Edwards have said and done some wicked things during this campaign, but I believe Elizabeth Edwards' comment today ranks high on the list of audacious, deplorable remarks.

Your ping on the other thread regarding the Ohio vote 'challengers' represents just another example of how the democrats intend to win this election, even if it means stealing it (moreso than they are accustomed to, that is).

In Berks County here in Pennsylvania (the bordering county just to the north of Lancaster, and more heavily democrat), horror stories are just now coming out about flagrant (and potentially successful) attempts at voter fraud. The county Director of Elections (who is a friend of a friend of mine) is reporting that there were an unprecedented number of groups 'coming out of the woodwork' initiating last-minute (almost exclusively democrat) voter registration drives – illegally paying people to register, and purposefully overloading the system with tens of thousands of bogus registrations. He has gone so far as to call it deliberate 'election sabotage', reports that the number of duplicate and fraudulent registrations is overwhelming, and he doesn't know how the Board of Elections will be able to verify those registrations that are genuine before the November 2nd deadline. For the first time in history, the county is actually asking for volunteers to at least attempt to weed out the massive number of fraudulent registrations.

I have no doubt that this kind of underhanded scheme is occurring in thousands of localities all across the country. No matter the outcome on November 2nd, I am certain that a significant percentage of Kerry/Edwards votes will have been cast by dead people, nonexistent people, people who claim multiple legal residences (including commercial buildings and vacant lots), and a considerable number of left-leaning dogs, cats, and parakeets.

We have the same kind of things happening out here in western PA. And also vandalism going on here and in neighboring eastern Ohio at people's houses and at a couple of Republican headquarters. Spray painting, sign stealing, etc. They will stop at nothing this time around.

Thank you for all you do. You have mail.

Thanks for the first hand accounts Joanie. The hell with all the lying and campaign doublestandards. THIS registration fraud is what is going to tip this election the wrong way. They are evil and will stop at nothing.
