PUPPIES PRAYERS UP PING!!!!!

Our codyjacksmom is having major knee surgery tomorrow and needs our support, y'all.

Paws clasped, knees bent, tail waggin' prayers up to Him for a safe procedure and a speedy recovery.

This will be an overnight stay for CJM, and she has promised to have her family keep us apprised until she can hobble back to the computer and bark at us herself.

We love you CJM and wish you all that is wonderful. We'll be right there with you in our hearts!!

I also have some experience in the knee surgery situation... Having had three of them myself!! So I have been conversing with her via FReepmail about a few things!!

Keep in mind PPs...she is suffering from extreme anxiety right now...keep that in prayer!! Please!!!

Hi, trussell:

I'm glad Trixie's back. If you're concerned about pain and think Trixie might not swallow a pill wrapped in a treat. Try something I did with my girl-cat, Paw-la.

She was given antibiotic pills that she refused to swallow. I found a plastic 35mm film can. Put some water in it and dissolved the pill. Put Paw-la in my lap. Pried open her jaw and shot the medicine down her throat with an
eye dropper.

She didn't much care for it at first, but over time it became her preferred method of taking medicine. Especially Amoxy-Cillin, after tangling with and killing a oppossum.

Jack.

I found a way to get her to take her meds and not even notice that it is there...I wrap it in peanut butter!! She loves it!!

When she was down with her back hurting recently...she wouldn't even eat right, so I was having to dissolve her meds in water and give it to her in a syringe...but OH, MAN!! That was a chore!! She would bite and attack the syringe...She was MAD!!!

I hope Paw-La is doing good now!! Sounds like she has been through some tough times!!

What a wonderful surprise to log on today and see this. It's just so dog gone sweet I probably would have cried except that friendship prayer made me bust a gut! I love it LL...Ya'll gave me a big ol' smile and the prayers and good wishes mean the world to me. Besides FR tomorrow, the other thing I will miss the most is snuggling up with my puppy Cody Jack at bedtime. I LOVE YOU ALL MY FR PUPPY FRIENDS!!!!

Hello everyone, I'm codyjacksmom's daughter. I'm sure she told you I would be sending you all a message updating you on her surgery.

I recieved a call from her about an hour ago and she is out of surgery and seems to be doing well. They are in the process of getting her set up in a recovery room and I'm sure they plan on keeping her overnight. This is all I know for now...

I hope all of your days are going well and please keep my mom in your prayers. Feel free to email me if you have any questions and I'll reply as soon as the baby let's me, lol...

latest codyjacksmom update
From buninoven04 | 11/17/2004 8:49:54 PM CST replied

Hello again everyone. I am to update you all again on codyjacksmom's condition. She is now at home and resting. She said to tell you all that it will most likely be a few days before she is able to get back on the computer so if you don't hear from her for awhile, don't worry. Keep her in your prayers for a quick and easy recovery. Thanks a bunch everyone! :)

Hi LL and all my fellow puppies!! It is good to be home and in my own bed. I thought I'd give you all a personal update while I'm awake enough to. Feeling a little better physically, yet still very tired and extremely sore. Because of all the very strong meds I had to have for pain control, it upset this pups tummy very bad, but am hoping to keep some food in it today. Anesthesia is finally wearing off, so balance is getting a little better. I'm not allowed to put more than half my weight on my leg or it could break in multiple places because of the screws that were drilled in it. Don't really have to worry about that right now though,, it hurts too much to put any weight on it at all. LOL
I am thankful for all the puppy love, hugs and tummy rubs that are being sent my way...and all the puppy prayers too. I will be back for another update when I feel up to it. In the mean time...ya'll be good puppies!!!

Good dog story ping! We had a stray lab mix show up in the neighborhood about 6 weeks ago. About the same time our elderly neighbors lost their Lab (RIP, Bailey) and we figured it was a God-send that the "new" dog showed up. He, the stray, is a good dog and very friendly. The old-timers decided they would rather have a female dog and their neighbor decided to take him in. Long story short, our other neighbor was walking her dogs while we were out for a stroll today and stray dog was tagging along. He had looked pretty healthy when we first saw him and was skin and bones now. We took him home after hearing that the one who adopted him had changed his mind, never let him in the house and didn't build him a dog house. It has been below freezing her all week. We fed him (he ate like a horse), gave him a blanket and a name. Sigh. We now have four dogs. Here he is:

Congratulations, and thank you for taking him in. He looks like a good honest dog!

One less unloved critter we have to worry about tonight. :~)

He's such a good boy! He was so hungry and is sacked out in the garage. I tried to get him to come in the house, but he must have been punished for doing so in the past. He won't. I gave him a grilled cheese sandwich on a plate in our office which is right off the garage, but I had to close the door because of the other dogs and his reluctance to come in doors.

He'll come around in time ;~D

His tendency to not overstep his bounds will make him easy to get along with.

He's such a sweetie. I made a ham steak for supper and he was out in the garage crying. I gave him some fat scraps from my youngest's plate and hubby gave him the bone piece.

He appears to be about five. He has tags that say he is from south of Tulsa which is more than 100 miles from us. The tags belong to a different dog according to the vet we called.

Well, they may have just re-used the collar on a new dog. Any contact for a possible owner or is the contact there no good?
