What a small world it is!

My Husky/Wolf/Shepherd mix loves to catch bunnies and parade them around, but never harms a hair on the little hares. She chased one so hard last year that the bunny ran into the tire on my car, knocked itself out cold, and our Sheba went into EMT mode and brought it to us to "fix". Bunny came to just fine and started the chase all over again.

Well it looks like I'll have someone to talk to a lot. I'm having some major knee surgery done on 11/16 and will be on crutches for 2 months. I will have a lot of play time on the computer too, it's too dog gone hard to do anything else. ;) Thank God I've got my dogs to keep me company while I'm in bed for a couple days after.

I used front page and just clicked copy and then paste for the pics...I have all of those pictures on personal storage space with my internet provider...but they will only post as links there. I put them here like this so I can see what each one is without having to click on them first.

My tagline is from a ranger that I worked with at Mesa Verde recently...he told me he owns a button that says that...when my seasonal job ended, I stole the saying!! LOL

The timing couldn't be better either. I'll have mine, and whine to you for awhile, then I'll be doing a little better when you have yours, so you can whine to me. :) So when the rest of the world is tired of us complaining and comparing surgery/doctor/nurse/hospital food stories...we'll still have each other, and we'll understand. LOL

Good luck on your surgery as well. I'll slip into nurse mode now.

I managed an orthopedic floor for a couple of years. So take my advice.

If it hurts you will be reluctant to move it, so take your pain medication. Getting a knee mobile soon after surgery is important to getting full function back. Be diligent with your physical therapy.

I just chucked my nurses cap.

Thanks nurse Tas...I will take your advice. Fortunately, I've learned to be pretty tough...I still have had a hard time deciding on this surgery. See, pain meds do not work on me. I am very medication resistant. Shots such as Novocaine do not work either. I thank God for them being able to knock me out! :) I also hate just sitting around and having everyone waiting on me...plus I will have to be able to take care of my doggies. ;) All good incentives to recover as fast as possible.
