a MAJOR NO NO.
She promissed to use the attorney client privledge to allow a violent white supremacist to send and letter to the CBS legal department. Mapes would then intercept and take that letter to one of the white supremacists buddies.
This would bypass the prisons review of non-priviledge mail.
A lawyer who would do this would have been up for dicipline.
The attorney fo the FIRST WTC bombing was charged with this very crime.
The difference was that the wadens department monitors phone calls.

Who did the research to make these documents? The general research is contained in the official documents released by President Bush, in combination with a "wish list" that comprised the types of assertions (in contemporaneous writins) that would support the conclusions that GWB 1) disobeyed a direct order and 2) obtained special treatment.
The gap was actually pretty easy to fill. We are very lucky that the forger did a sloppy job, and that CBS is corrupted by the political ends desired by the DNC. Corrupted to the extent that it saw fit to ignore clear signals that the documents were not authentic.
