A noticeable absence is Kitty Kelley's much hyped and media-promoted assault on the Bush's, The Family.

Unfit for Command sits at #1 for the fourth week in a row.

This has got to be killing the Olde York Times to print...Kitty's book deserves to be buried in the "Litter box".

UNFIT FOR COMMAND, by John E. O'Neill and Jerome R. Corsi. (Regnery, $27.95.) A negative appraisal of John Kerry's conduct in Vietnam.

The word "negative" just had to be thrown in there.... didn't it.

As opposed to "accurate", "truthful", "eyewitness account"...etc. etc.

1 UNFIT FOR COMMAND, by John E. O'Neill and Jerome R. Corsi. (Regnery, $27.95.) A negative appraisal of John Kerry's conduct in Vietnam.

6 BUSHWORLD, by Maureen Dowd. (Putnam, $25.95.) A journalist's assessment of President Bush, based on her columns and articles in The New York Times.

Why is UNFIT described as "a negative appraisal" and A journalist's assessment of President Bush, based on her columns and articles in The New York Times.
BUSHWORLD is described as "A journalist's assessment"?

Looking at #6, #1 should say:
1 UNFIT FOR COMMAND, by John E. O'Neill and Jerome R. Corsi. (Regnery, $27.95.) 64 swift boat sailors' assessment of John Kerry's conduct in Vietnam, based on their eye-witness accounts while serving along side him.

As it's been the #1 book for a while, Unfit for Command obviously deserves a review in the Times' Book Review section.

Has the Times gotten around to printing a review yet?

I noticed the same thing...but, if you'll scroll back to the top, you'll see that this is the "Non-Fiction" list, not the fiction list.

And they say the country is split.

The success of "Unfit for command" and the abject failure of selacious Kitty Kelly exposes is a testament that Americans ar not as stupid as liberals think they are.

#35: "A Matter of Character: Inside the Whitehouse of George W Bush" -- an EXCELLENT book!
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/1595230009/qid=1095689196/sr=8-1/ref=pd_csp_1/103-9411826-2857447?v=glance&s=books&n=507846

[This book is worth double the list price just for its insightful interviews with the Secret Service/WhiteHouse staff . . . learn what Bill and Hil Clinton, as well as Jimmy Carter, are REALLY like as opposed to our current (and much respected/loved) First Couple!!]
