I know Russia is hard up for cash, but I wonder if recent events have changed their thinking regarding what the terrorists will do to them once they get an Iranian nuke.

The CIA report just reached the press that we are losing in Iraq. Now they are leaking the results of war games against Iran; we lose, big surprise.

You remember of course that the CIA keeps denying that Atta ever met with Iraqi intel, despite Czech assurances to the contrary. The basis of their denial? They didn't witness it, therefore they can't confirm it. They can't confirm it, therefore it didn't happen.

Similarly, the CIA went to great effort to publicly discredit the fact that Niger is engaged in illicit uranium sales. The basis of their denial, again, is that they were unable to confirm it. They were unable to confirm it because they don't have anyone there following up on it, as demonstrated by the Wilson debacle. They can't confirm it, so it didn't happen, even though we now know that Niger was striking deals left and right, and the "discredited" Iraqi effort to do business was public information.

At some point we need to face the fact that CIA's inability to confirm reality is either due to willful bias or incompetence or disinterest. And its habit of using leaks to affect domestic politics is toxic.

We need to clean house over there in the worst way.

They wring their hands about "escalation," but as long as Iran isn't nuclear-armed, any possible escalation is beside the point.

The point is that Iran cannot be allowed to develop nuclear weapons.

Period.

To keep most of the infrastructure intact, I would surmise that to bring about a change in the regime would have to come from within by covert or overt means.

Newsweek quoted an Air Force source as saying, "The war-games were unsuccessful at preventing the conflict from escalating."

You wrote:
1. Authorized disinformation
2. Unauthorized information from Clinton leftovers or other traitors

Looking at the above quote, I lean towards the second.
Note that they didn't say "Unsuccessful at taking out the reactor."
Instead it was "unsuccessful at preventing the conflict from escalating."

The key word is the DNC talking point "unsuccessful."
John Kerry has got to stop projecting onto Bush!

That's right. We've got to do something drastic and immediate.

In the war against Islamic Terrorist, I am 100 percent backing total world escalation untill the threat is annihilated.

I AM PRO-ESCALATION. THE SOONER THE BETTER.

Whadda' you mean. Russia is helping Iran with it's nuclear technology.

Yep, but I tend to agree with post #41 on that. The
chances that the Iranians would give a device to the
Chechens is a risk that Putin can no longer ignore.

Russia had better make sure that when they ship out an
intermodal container full of nuke processing gear, that
it really does come back empty.

It's sort of ironic, considering this old Stalin quote:
"When we hang the capitalists they will sell us the rope we use."

That same advice fits for Russia selling all of its' weapon systems to China, as well.

LOL! You may be right. They probably won't wake up until a nuke goes off in Russia. The Demorats in this country have already forgotten 9-11.

Why do you reflexively believe Czech "assurances" over those of your own countrymen? Do you always "blame America first" for being wrong, while crediting foreignors with being right?

You made a point you should consider looking into; the Russians are concerned about the Chechyans, unfortunately the Russians are *only* concerned about the Chechyans. They provide weapons, technology, and sophisicated covert op's to top terror regimes across the world.

The Russians are the reason why the Iranian government built Busheshr and they're working on a second plant in Iran.

They will arm our enemies to the teeth to ultimately destroy our country and claim innoncence when and if it happens.

If I were Iran I would be putting on the depends about now... If you recall the months leading up to the iraq war the same " analysis" was written.
