Here is what ABC News/Note wrote today:
In a Note section on Friday about the blogosphere's role in the Bush/National Guard document story, we wrote that Buckhead, a poster on Free Republic.com, posted a critique of the "60 Minutes II" story at 8:59 pm ET . . . which lead us to suggest that he posted it before the broadcast was over. Mr. Buckhead, an Atlanta lawyer, has since informed the world that he saw the show at 8:00 pm ET and posted his response at 11:59 pm ET. The time stamp incorrectly suggested he had 50 minutes, rather than more than two hours, to look at the documents.
This is what they suggested last week:
IF IF these end up being forgeries, one of the interesting subplots will be the timing and method by which they were exposed. We always favor looking at the content and substance over WHO is offering up the information, but in the war that will ensue about WHO gave CBS the potentially phony documents, it is interesting to Note that the right (Drudge, Fox, right-leaning blogs, others) led the way in pointing out the questions we have all been asking and they were onto the questions, with remarkable detail, relatively soon after the documents were made public.
Here is my email to them:
What you wrote about the time stamp in Free Republic is wrong. You must have had the time setting to Pacific Time instead of Eastern Time (which is the default I believe). So you read the time wrong. There is nothing wrong with the Free Republic time stamps. You just read it wrong.

Tell them what you think of trying to slime Freepers and Buckhead, and trying to spin their way out of their mistake.
Advanced technology, (ex: Time Zones), is beyond the ability of Old Media to grasp.
Any moron can clearly see all posts are listed in Pacific Time.
I'm sorry, but if you're trying to explain time zones to a liberal, you're probably wasting your time.
When you're dealing with people who look at the timestamp,
and completely ignore "PDT", or don't know what it means,
no rational debate is likely to emerge in a confrontation.
Just make sure everyone else knows.
Something has been niggling at the back of my mind.
BUCKHEAD: Make certain of a few simple precautions, including:
- Varying your route to and from work, avoiding the same route two days in a row;
- Avoid stopping at traffic lights, or at busy 4-way intersections, where your vehicle coudl be trapped;
- Obtain a second voice phone line, and share that number with only essential contacts;
- Avoid using credit cards for purchases; make transactions in cash as much as possible;
- Immediately change passwords on all email, ATM cards and bank accounts, using a space or a parenthesis in your new password;
- Be certain that essential documents (will, vehicle registration, life/house/auto insurance policies, and personal data) are secured in either a bank safe deposit box, or in a fireproof container at home.
Just to be secure. We're concerned for you!
Not as bad as Keith Olbermann sliming Buckhead by referring to him as a rat.

Unless you're a moron like me, who can plainly see that all the posts are listed in Central Daylight Time. Because that's how I set them. Because that's where I live.
Maybe she has gone on to ABC as a crack, Old Media journalist.
They won't understand your email. They're nitwits.
Worst one was when we goofed and sent John Kerry to Cambodia when Nixon was President but had the year screwed up.
Please accept our heartfelt apologies and take two hours out of petty cash.
Thank you,
Father Time
My PC is set for Central Time, yet all the posts I see here at FR are in PDT.

This is eastern time. It is 2:00 pm by me now.
"- Immediately change passwords on all email, ATM cards and bank accounts, using a space or a parenthesis in your new password"
Or use ells when ones are needed! hahahaha...
I couldn't resist.
Seriously, buckhead, Old Sarge is right, be careful. The world is weird, and I wouldn't rule out anything when considering threats.
(...stay away from any place that reminds you of Fort Marcy park...)
The note, they don't get it either.
OK now I'm confused. I figured since the FR servers are in CA, it made sense that they would only show PDT, my PC is set for Central Time, and it's Windows 2000. What am I missing here?

Let me, FRom quite recent experience, be the first to remind that many a true word is spoken in jest.

The initials 'PDT' on the Freeper time stamp must be beyond their comprehension.
