We've just been through Hurricane Frances, but we're considering giving at least a small amount to the Russians...the horrid, revolting account of school children being murdered on their first day of school makes me sick to my stomach.

I don't believe Russia will fold like Spain did after such a public terrorist attack. I pray for the moms and dads of these little ones, and I pray Putin does the right thing in protecting the citizens of his country.

Our prayers and donations, however meager, are certainly appreciated by the people of Beslan.

Frankly, based on what I've seen and heard this past week, I think it's safe to say that funds given to this cause by conservatives will be put to better use than ones that find their way into GW Bush's war chest.

I started a thread on helping the Beslan orphans. There is also a Christian medical charity listed, as well as www.moscowhelp.org which seems to be the predominant victims charity.
