Wesley Pruden : Time to Wake Up the Girlie Men
The Washington Times ^ | September 7, 2004 | Wesley Pruden

Posted on 09/06/2004 10:26:33 PM PDT by quidnunc

If September 11 was not horrific enough or loud enough to wake the West, the explosion set off by the Islamist terrorists at a Russian schoolhouse, raining death on the most innocent among us, is the snooze alarm bell that most of the world doesn't deserve.

This latest outrage is ample evidence, of a kind repeated over and over, of how the enemy proposes to fight. Wishing it were not so won't help. In whose featherbeds have the girlie men from the salons of Europe and certain fashionable precincts in America been sleeping?

The languages of the world, including Arabic, are not rich enough to describe the depravity of terrorists, Islamist or otherwise, who would shoot tiny children to make points, political or otherwise. That's a given. Regret, dismay, concern, grief, sorrow, despair and all the proper emotions the prissy can express in response are not enough. If the tough ever get going, they will now. Slaughtering children is as tough as things are likely to get.

Some of the early signs are encouraging. The French, who have a unique talent for accommodating whoever may be trying to kill them, may be trying to shake themselves awake. Some of Britain's Labor Party loonies, ever eager to make excuses for the militant and violent Muslims of North London, now demand that Scotland Yard crack down on an Islamic conference to be held this weekend in London to "celebrate" September 11 as "the operation that lifted the head of the Muslim nation." One prominent Muslim cleric in London says targeting children is OK because British troops have carried out terrorist acts in Iraq.

We need to fight a "more sensitive war on terror..."

And maybe they'll leave us alone.

We're going to find out, sooner or later,

If Abdul will pray, to a glowing crater.

As Wes said, there are no words in any language that can describe the barbarous acts of targeting children for death by these Islamo-terrorists. I can, however, think of many, many ways of exterminating them.

What horror. If this doesn't wake up the world, they have no souls. I am starting to wonder if the leadership of the democrat party and some of it's spokespersons can walk around in the daylight.

It only took the subtlety of a two-by-four repeatedly bashing in the cranium to get them to sit up and take notice. I'm still unsure on France and Germany. I don't think they will fully wake up until there are body parts strewn around the streets of Lyon and Munich.

Then again, they may pull a Spain and turn tail. It's hard to say. I'm not sure if Western Europe yet has the testicular fortitude to bring death to the Islamofascists.

"They" have long predicted another attack here would assure Bush's re-election; it appears they may have mis-calculated and an attack as horrible as the Russian Children may be what finally awakens not only the world by our liberal press??? and helps re-elect a man who understands what we are up against.

Maybe there really is a terrorist threat; Mr. Putin, heretofore scornful of American resolve to destroy terrorists, concedes that he has been "weak."

In other words, Putin is saying, "Bush was right."

Were it to happen here, the New York Times would doubtless find reason to sympathize with the "militants".

The New York Times will always side with the terrorists. They have the same goals. The complete destruction of the western world.

Killing school children won't wake them up, because at the NYT those who aren't gay have their children aborted.

"I don't think they will fully wake up until there are body parts strewn around the streets of Lyon and Munich."

I am more worried about Detroit, Erie and other cities where there are large concentrations of Islamofascists masquerading as peace loving people. Come to think of it northern Virginia and Montgomery County, Maryland have large muslim residents also.

We had better wake up because for sure it will happen here if we don't.

Regards,

If this doesn't wake up the world, they have no souls.

Old Europe won't wake up - they are enjoying their vacation from history too much to think about heading back to the office. In fact, I expect they will try to buy off Islamist terror rather than confront it, due to the domestic situations that their unfortunate immigration policies have left them in.

Old Europe will continue to be a center for anti-American sentiment - and a staging area for anti-American terror - until it falls.

Having a soul doesn't make you have a backbone. To address these terrorist will take more than a soul, it will take will and resolve to do the right things even when it means risk.

Unfortunately for Europe, there are far and few who will have the political will or steely resolve to address this problem.

Most of Europe will wait to be eaten by the tiger last.
