With all due respect to those in Florida, can just one network give FIVE FREAKIN MINUTES to break away from their soaked reporters flapping in the breeze to give this announcement proper Kudos.
This guy was the BIG FISH still swimming the Baathist scum pond. Great job troops!

AMEN!
I have friends in FL that I'm concerned about, but you are right, there ARE other things going on in the world right now besides this FRIGGING STORM!

Speaking as one from Florida, and in Florida, I have had my fill of reporters standing out in the wind and rain talking about the wind and rain! Gimme a break. Everyone knows hurricanes have lots of wind and rain, where's the news value of talking about it when one is sitting right on top of you. One of the roving meteorologists, the Weather Channel I believe, was out in the wind and rain yesterday talking about how dangerous it is to be out in the wind and rain and she was struck by a piece of flying debris! Had to laugh! When last seen she was applying ice to the injury and enroute to have it treated.

Islamist monsters in Chechnya and capturing the VP have been completely lost in the shuffle. Two "hugh" stories.

As one of many Floridians who are suffering from the unrelenting blast of Hurricane Frances coverage (did you know I should be buying batteries and water?....for the 8 millionth time!) I concur.

Because of the way the Old media decides what info I need, I get my news here and other sites on the internet.
As you say, with all due respect, we really dont need wall to wall coverage of a category 2 hurricane. I know it will do some damage, but it's approaching overkill, cry wolf and all the other metaphors Zell could come up with.

LOL. The media networks are obviously trying to out-do each other by showing their reporters "my guy's wetter than your guy" situations. Its taken on comic proportions.
