BROADVIEW HEIGHTS, Ohio (AP) - The deadly hostage-taking by militants in Russia reinforces the United States' resolve not to give in to terrorists, President Bush said Saturday.
"Yesterday was a grim reminder of the nature of the terrorists we face," Bush said at a campaign rally in this Cleveland suburb.
"That's why this country must be diligent and strong and never yielding. We must bring them to justice," the president said.
Some 155 children were among the more than 340 people killed in the violent end to the standoff at a school in southern Russian, a prosecutor said.
Russian President Vladimir Putin accused the attackers of trying to spark an ethnic conflict that would engulf Russia's troubled Caucasus Mountains region.
Bush, at the re-election event, repeated his comment from Friday that the siege was "a grim reminder of the nature of the terrorists we face."
He again told the Russian people that "our prayers are with those families" and spoke of "the heartfelt anguish" of the parents whose children were taken hostage.
All fine and well, but I'm tired of this "bring them to justice" nonsense.
Why doesn't he just say we will kill them?

If they're alive, they haven't met any justice yet. What will we do, let them out in 20 years? There are some we've already let out. And they will reproduce, too.

I'd love to see the Prez seal our borders, at least until the election is over BUT, that is like trying to hold a moon beam in your hand. However, everytime there is a terrorist activity such as this one in ANOTHER country, that just helps President Bush's chances in November. If, God forbid, we were attacked on our own soil before the election, this nation would rally behind our President and it would be a landslide for Bush.
You may be right, but I wonder about this. You know what's bad for America is good for the dems. There would be absolute, non-stop spin from all quarters; "W can't keep us safe." Blech!
Isn't it also a point that not joining us in the WOT does NOT guarantee one's safety? (putting the LIE to the spin). The rest of me is too sad to comment more, really. The sight of these children is too much. Monitor's blurry. Yeah, close the borders Mr. President!

We are cowering in our PC world, knowing full well who the enemy is among us, yet politically paralyzed to confront him. Wouldn't want to insult any innocent ISLAMONAZIS now would we.
They are among us. Until they are incarcerated, or destroyed, [yes the ones here too] we will continue to shed innocent blood for our cowardice.
When will we in the US begin to understand? When OUR buses begin to explode? [My God our buildings already have! What does it take!!] When OUR children are murdered in their school buildings!!?
The time to act is yesterday!!!! Otherwise, we can only ask ourselves, whose children will be first?
