Bob Kerrey's selfish move

That was fast. And so predictable. Former Nebraska Sen. Bob Kerrey dove headfirst into the presidential campaign last week, joining three other John Kerry [related, bio] partisans in calling for Bush strategist Karl Rove's resignation.

And he also had the gall to call the president a ``partisan political hack'' and a ``hypocrite'' on the ``Today Show,'' all the while claiming he was avoiding politics per agreement of the 9/11 Commission.

``The 9/11 Commission agreed not to use anything we've gotten off of the . . . report to bring into a political campaign,'' Kerrey said.

That's splitting a hair nicely, don't you think?

The way other commission members put it when releasing the 9/11 report was that they had agreed to refrain from participating in this presidential campaign for fear of turning the report into a political football.

And Rove's crime which drew Kerrey's ire? He dared comment on the Democratic nominee's anti-war record, the very same record John Kerry has used to boost his political fortunes since he first ran for public office.

The real crime is that Bob Kerrey cares more about defeating George W. Bush than whether the 9/11 Commission's recommendations are implemented.

After a harshly criticized partisan tilt to its hearings threatened to undermine its purpose, members of the commission wisely retreated from politics, or so we thought.

The members pledged to devote themselves to lobbying Congress and swaying public opinion instead. Thus they headed out, like so many pairs on Noah's Ark, two-by-two to spread a bipartisan message across the country.

But Kerrey proved politics will come first, last and always to this Nebraska partisan.

He clearly doesn't give a damn whether he hurts the 9/11 Commission's cause. Chairman Tom Kean and co-chairman Lee Hamilton ought to care. They should strongly rebuke Kerrey and rein him in fast.

Bob Kerrey, another war criminal.

Gee Bob, we'd almost forgotten about "all that". But now we are forced to remember.

Was I not paying attention? I use to think this guy was alright, but the 9-11 commission revealed that he is the partisan hack. He seems to have come unglued. He's lost it several times since the commission hearings. Did you hear Major Garrett's report on what he said about the swifties? "F____ 'em"

He has never been the same since Deborah Winger left him.

As a Nebraskan, I am so ashamed of John Robert Kerrey. His arrogant, sneer-like attitude confirms that he is nothing but a second-rate agitator who has an obsession to defeat President Bush. He thinks that no laws or rules apply to him. When he was governor of Nebraska in the 1980s, his agenda consisted of one thing: Debra Winger. Debra Winger pretended to be the first lady of Nebraska and, with Kerrey's help, got away with it. She was a regular fixture and regularly stayed in the governor's mansion. She even drove a state car and helped herself to many things paid for with my taxes. All the while, the state of Nebraska was going in the tank. Kerrey, who was divorced at the time, made the most of the Debra Winger relationship. We got sick of the continual press coverage of this "dream" couple. The Lincoln and Omaha papers made sure in most of their stories that we did not forget that Kerrey had "lost a leg" in Vietnam. Nothing could be further from the truth, and Kerrey did nothing to correct the impression that he had "lost a leg" from the hip. The truth is that he lost that part of his leg from 6 inches above the ankle on down. He retains over 90% of that leg and has no difficulty getting around. He even participated in running events. I am sure that he is listed as 100% disabled. Too bad we can't ship him over to Iraq and have him see some real heroes.

Hello, sorry this dumbas_ Democrat Bob Kerrey has managed to bamboozle the Citizens of Nebraska as Governor and Senator.
I continue to be amazed that we voters keep electing these people multiple times? It is like hypnosis or a distortion of mass thinking. Term Limits, Recall movements and other remedies are obviously needed and will only come by way of We the People....the games any politician may play need more exposure. The MSM has contributed mightily but they now are faced with alternate avenues to knowledge and truth.

you may have something there! Has to get his manhood back so as not to be a girlie boy!!!

"After a harshly criticized partisan tilt to its hearings threatened to undermine its purpose, members of the commission wisely retreated from politics, or so we thought."

On the FoxNews roundtable I heard a comment which went something like this - I don't know why we are bringing up Vietnam after 30 years. We have not had an attack in the USA except the 1st TC bombing, then 9/11 - I'm not saying we can't again, but we haven't.

It is my humble opinion the commission made themselves worthless, served no useful purpose with their findings. They neglected to report why & what were the reasons we were attacked on our homeland.

We were attacked because, as bill clinton has said while referring to other things, BECAUSE THEY COULD!!!

If the FoxNews panel dares to say we have not been attacked - I dare them to read the following aloud on "the boys" (what an absolutely stupid name for a mature network - they act as if they are the cartoons) on Saturday.

1992 Bombing in Israeli Embassy in Argentina,
1993 Attempted Assassination of Pres. Bush Sr.,
1993 First World Trade Center bombing, February 26th, 7 Killed, Hundreds injured

The last thing Kerrey wants is examination of service records.

It often seems the Crat Party is a criminal mutual cover-up organization.

Close. Bob Kerrey will always come first to Bob Kerrey. The laughingstock "9-11 Commission" is all over now. Why won't this scumbag go away?
