New York (CNSNews.com) - A massive protest outside Madison Square Garden featured at least one sign asking where John Hinckley was.
The prominently displayed sign read, "Where is John Hinckley when we really need him?" It featured a bullet hole with dripping red blood.
Hinckley attempted to assassinate former President Ronald Reagan in 1981, and he has been in a mental hospital ever since, after being found incompetent to stand trial.
Asked about the sign, the man carrying it responded, "I told the Secret Service it is for everyone to interpret exactly how they want."
When asked how he interpreted the sign, the man who refused to be identified, said, "Gosh, I don''t know."
"A guy with a badge wanted to know what the sign meant. I said I really did not understand -- it''s just something that popped into my head."
The man was taking part in a protest on 8th avenue that may have included up to 10,000 people, according to some estimates.

Another gutless coward- doesn't believe in his ideas enough to actually stand for them. Just plays dumb instead.
Never happen. Dubya's perfectly safe from Hinckley. He has Laura. Why would he go messing around with Jodie Foster?
Treasonous cowards are preferable to treasonous assassins. Now the FBI has his picture, and before long they will know who he is. He'll never get near a sitting President from here on out.
Mental midgets wondering where their hero John Hinckley is? Talk about desperation.
This confirms my contention that most of these "protesters" are too stupid to pour piss out of a boot. They are mindless rabble who should be unceremoniously rounded up and penned up in holding tanks for the duration of all major political events.
He may not be playing:'). Maybe he was just handed the sign and told to go to work.
I can identify him. He's a left-wing wacko commie.
Uhhh... that's not what I've heard. I read that some idiot-bleeding-heart-liberal judge has let Hinckley leave the mental institution UNSUPERVISED on a regular basis to supposedly "visit with his parents." <sarcasm>I'm sure that's all he's doing.</sarcasm>
Thank God at least the bad guys are (mostly) stupid.
I can think of something that I would like to see "pop into his head"......besides trying to "buy a clue"....
A kattracks BTTT !!!
That's a ploy they use. Throws the cops off, oh just leave them alone their just some dummy. These are the most dangerous type .
As should Kerry.
probably a professor who graduated and never left the university system for the real world.
Received this in an email a few days ago:
You may know they've released John Hinckley from the mental facility for
unsupervised visits to his parents home on weekends. For those of you who
may be too young to remember, John Hinckley shot President Ronald Reagan to
impress the actress Jodie Foster. He was infatuated with Jodie Foster.
This is such a nice letter from the President:
Unless he decides to run for something. Being a corrupt dem pol is like a shield anymore.
Does anyone doubt that these people are thugs and given the opportunity, would be dangerous to anyone who would disagree with them. This "in your face" hatred which calls for the death of the President and is not just stupidity..It is treason and should be treated as such.
In light of the bullet fired into the Bush campain hq's window last night/early this morning, its sick what the mentally imbalanced left will stoop to.
