We've been telling you about protestor plans to disrupt the Republican Convention in New York City. Tie up traffic, nobody would notice. But tie up the internet and you've got problems.
Get this, political dissent has changed a lot since the last Republican Convention. This year hackers are threatening to shut down GOP websites. They've become a valuable tool for candidates.
For example, 50 thousand people an hour were visiting John Kerry's site after his acceptance speech. The same is expected for Bush, but protestors are lurking in cyber space.
And real terrorists may have found another soft spot within the U.S. Get this, Al Qaeda might be slipping in thru low water ports.
Homeland Security is already keeping close tabs on the main shipping entries Baltimore, Houston, Seattle, and others.
But what about areas along the Mississippi River? Some officials are worried that both ship and truck cargo personnel are not screened well enough.
And remember shoe bomber Richard Reid? He was convicted of trying to blow up a Trans Atlantic flight. Now he's complaining that too many of his rights are being stepped on in his Colorado prison cell.
Cynics argue he's lucky to be alive. Reid's choice was to kill himself and everyone on board American Airlines Flight 63.
Prosecute the domestic terrorists who pose as democrats to the fullest extent of the law.

You can't cover every inch of the country. This is why we fight the fight in their home and not ours.
The ACLU would be suing the RNC for squelching "free speech".

This sounds like a logical approach.
I don't think that is the problem with gopconvention.com's feeds. They are pathetic. No audio most of the day. Now, sporadic and disconnecting streaming. Very unprofessional.

Actually, I wouldn't mind having a ruling on the books stating that 'hacking' was protected speech. I can think of several things I could do to some folks on the Left with a ruling like that.

Sometimes they make agreements to pass, so the candidate's state (Texas, in this case) gets to cast the 'over the top' votes that give the candidate the nomination.
Anarchist hackers disrupted the ProtestWarrior website recently, and I feel that the website is still not 100%. I applied for membership over a week ago to join that organization, but I have not received confirmation of my membership.

Have to agree with that... hacking a site is destruction of property, which fits within the definition of terrorism.

Me too! That Lanny Davis interview was just a slap in the face. Of all the people, that guy is the most disgusting person to the RNC. Believe me, O'Reilly will hear from me on that issue. Not that he'll care .. but I want him to know I believe it was an intentional slap in the face .. and I'm taking it personal.
It's just like liberals...if they can't control something, they'll destroy it. In this case they can't control the new media of the internet so they attempt to destroy it.

Sounds like they need reported to the FBI for Internet crime.
