If you paid $50 month last year for gas you are now paying $100 a month. That is $50 of disposable income taken away. Retailers will feel this in several months. It will start to show soon in the economic numbers. SO, be prepared for a little/large ripple in the economy.

Gas prices are notoriously high here in Boise. They are only about 15 cents more than this time last year.
