Question about Live chat

Posted on 08/23/2004 8:28:33 PM PDT by Heff

Does anyone know about the future of this site...expanded features and so on? For example, I always thought that we should have a live chat room.

Start your own channel on an IRC network somewhere. No one is stopping you.

There's a chat room that was started along with Radio FR. Also a chat room on the Yahoo! Group site. I don't think they're very well trafficked.

I hear plans call for a 1200 room casino/hotel on the strip with a Ronald Reagan theme.

There used to be a chat. It was associated with the streaming radio broadcasts. It seems they have gone by the wayside.

Live voice chat? That would require so much resource.

If you guys want to do a live chat, check out PalTalk. www.paltalk.com

you can create your own room and be a moderator. You can control who is can join.

I love to chat! I would love to chat with Freepers in real time. maybe we can meetup on the yahoo group someday. I think it's pretty easy to start chatting right from there.

There is a live chat room associated with Radio FR. The other one, the yahoo chat site stinks. Agitator can give you the link.

It's an exclusive chat room with a lot of PNG's and a lot of "fishy" stuff goes on, but we like it. < /inside joke >

Nope; it's still there. It's just a carefully guarded secret. You have to attain to the third circle and have your secret decoder ring to get the memos and the password.

Well yeah, and I'm so hooked on this place that I actually don't go to a lot of places where I used to go to chat, or I don't go there so much. But real-time chatting is a little different.

I don't like the AIM thing that the kids use so much, you can only talk to one person at a time.

I guess I'll always just like loud parties!

"nah you can have group chats using AIM."

Thanks for that tip, I didn't know that. I'll have to get the kid to show me how.
