Leader of Peace Fresno Pleads Not Guilty to protest related arrest

Kenneth Roy Hudson pled not guilty today to a charge of refusing to obey a lawful command of a peace officer at a Fresno park rally he had organized.

Featured as an oppressed peaceful group of nice folks in the crockumentary "Fahrenheit 911", following the disclosure that a member of the public, who worked at the Sheriff's department, had attended one of their meetings, they would have you believe all they do is munch cookies and chat privately about peace.

The attorney general ststed he would look into that allegation, whatever the allegation might be.

If they had a public meeting and a member of the public attended, "so?".

However Peace Fresno wans't so peaceful back in March as the police carted of the carcass of their leader after he felt he could order the police around. They surrounded two police cars and had to be held at bay.

His next appearance is September 20, as he has asked for a jury trial. As I was there when he was arrested, I will hopefully be called as a witness.

Since the arrest, I am told the group has libeled me in a publication of theirs, to which an appropriate response should be filed soon.

Hudson was represented by Counsel today, but the lawyer refused to give a business card when asked.

I am trying to contact the Fresno Bee as this should be newsworthy given their claims of being ultra peaceful and being persecuted by the police The enormous exposure of the movie can only be countered with the truth of what people like Hudson, their leader, are doing when their not whinig to Michael Moronsky and company.

I would defend to my death anyone's right to protest, but equally important, I would defend to my death my right to attend the same meeting at the same place, providing it is public.

I understand that Peace Fresno was used as a poster group illustrating John Ashcroft's Reign of Terror in Moore's documentary.

It would be helpful to have the Fresno Bee publish a news article detailing the arrest, which could then be used as further demonstration of the inaccuracy of the documentary.

Incidentally, Mr. at bay, I too was at the peacefresno rally...I am not sure if you were the guy there in the beginning with the camera but if so the you were the one angrily approahing police and in fact in their face about having Ken arrested. Mr.Hudson did not act like a maniac or get in the face of police about anything. I was there. Your description of the events that lead up to his arrest are, like most right wing rhetoric, a fiction designed to support whatever end you desire. It is not surprising to me that you would be willing to lie to support your desire to disrupt a peaceful gathering of folks attempting to exercise a concept that you supposedly cherish so dearly...namely free speech. Whatever it takes, right? The end justifies the means? This is the sort of crap that you can spew but no matter how hard you try I and people like myself will never swallow.
