I am using Norton Antivirus 2002 with Windows XP. Three days ago I attempted to update it from the Norton Symantec site. It gave instructions in how to do it, and when it said to type the key code in the dialog box, there was no place to type it. I've sent them two e-mails requesting help with no response. Can anyone out there help? Thanks!
Carolyn
Certainly a man with that kind of character would want to help you out ASAP
Did you right-click on the icon at the bottom of your screen to open the dialogue box? Then all you have to do is click on the Live Update button at the top of the dialogue box whch appears. I have Norton 2002 with Windows XP and that's all I ever do to update it.
Thompson is anti-Second Amendment too.
Best solution is to go to their website and download the entire latest version and reinstall entirely. Your codes should work to allow the download and then the install. Don't have to uninstall the older program... a clean install will overwrite it, so to speak.
If you continue to have problems, go to their support site and I believe they have a form where you can describe the difficulty. Last time I checked, they actually responded. Even gave me the benefit of the doubt when I difficulty reinstalling after a complete crash. It's been humming along ever since.
Don't despair... (Hmmmm didn't know about the Kerry support, though. Is anybody in the corporate world not sold out? Hard to understand people who are other wise practical but who nonetheless work against their rational self-interest.)
Oh, and don't forget to run Live Update ASAP...
If you don't have the "key" the dialogue box gives you instructions to call them and a search function to find the number. Why they do this is beyond me.
Their website said that they weren't supporting 2002 anymore and you had to upgrade to 2004

Also, be sure to include in your letter something about 'big guns'!
