Michael Medeiros, who served on Swift Boat No. 94 with Kerry and appeared with him at the Democratic National Convention, told the Globe that Kerry and his crew chased an enemy to the Cambodian border -- but stopped there. He could not recall dropping off special forces in Cambodia or going inside Cambodia with Kerry.

James Wasser, who accompanied Kerry on the Christmas mission aboard Swift Boat No. 44, said that while he believes they were "very, very close" to Cambodia, they did not enter the country.

A third crewmate, who opposes Kerry, flatly accuses him of lying about Cambodia....

Nope, this article just raises more eyebrows. Most Americans are unaware there is any controvery about Kerry's Vietnam record. This raises the prestige of that which it rebutted. For example, if Thurlow's records can be reviewed by the Washington Post, why can't Kerry's?

It's not just Thurlow who would have had to lie. The other skippers there (other than Kerry) said there was no enemy gunfire.
Also in reviewing the spot report for the incident, nobody suffered gunshot wounds. The guys on the 3 boat suffered concussion type wounds. The damage report (which is labeled for PFC-94 which I suspect is actually for the 3 boat) shows no indication of bullet damage. The only damage is consistant with a mine detonating.
I would really like to see the repair report on the "94" boat from the yard at An Thoi. They could determine if the damage was for the 3 boat or the 94.
