THE MOVEON.ORG TELEVISION AD

THE MOVEON.ORG TELEVISION AD

The Kerry crowd is running an ad that says that George Bush used his father to get into the Texas Air National Guard during the Vietnam war. Just so you know, there is no record anywhere of any interference by or influence brought to bear by Bush the Elder in Bush the Younger's acceptance into the guard. Not that you leftists care.

Point two. That ad from Moveon.org, an anti-Bush group financed by a mysterious Hungarian-born international financier, also features an image of someone stamping George Bush's National Guard records with "failure to appear." There is no such stamp, and there has never been any charge by the National Guard George Bush failed to appear, or, as the ad says, "went missing." The Moveon.org ad also says that George Bush was grounded. That, too, is a lie. George Bush made the decision on his own to relinquish his flying status in the National Guard.

It's interesting that the Democrats need to create lies and falsehoods to campaign against George Bush?

Damn, the one issue (miltary) Kerry thinks he has and they have to lie about it.

Neal has notes everyday that he essentially uses for his show. I can't listen here for 3 hours straight so these are ecverything you will miss.

The ploy is to create outrageous claims that counter the Swiftvet ad.

The logic (used loosely) is if one claim is unbelievable, then the other is also.

The big problem is the book. It is documented out the wazoo and Kerry's new statements are just hillarious. My husband is cross-eyed as to his claims about his Cambodian adventure. As he says, Kerry was a lieutenant under a CO who sure as heck would have known about this.

Moveon is just silly at this point since the National Guard issue was so over-the-top in the media, it's dead. Actually, playing it over and over hurts them more than the GOP.

Unlike the Kerry flack which is just getting starting. As I said, the Fat Lady is just starting to clear her voice.

Funny.... it's the folks at MoveOn.org that just can't seem to "move on".

In that parental military service and veteran combat experience gets offspring near automatic consideration for specialty service such as flight officer training and the Academies, it might be true. Why does it matter? Thousands of men served in the ational Guard during the Vietnam War. Some of them were weekend infantrymen passing the days pushing paperwork. Others were mechanics and medics. All of them had a job to do. Most of them did not need a special invitation. GW learned to fly jet fighters, and flew patrol missions during the height of the cold war with the Soviet Union. Flying a finicky Delta at 900mph over the Appalachians is a whole lot more difficult than piloting a 'swiftboat' and likely just as dangerous... missions to Cambodia notwithstanding.

Dare we assume, John Kerry did not get a little 'help' with his naval commissions? Else, why wasn't he humping a pack through the jungle instead of making home movies and bearing his lilly-white backside for a 16 week outing on the Mekong.

Kerry man has already demonstrated a level of character so degenerate as to exclude him from qualification for Senator, much less President of the United States.

Kerry is simply Unfit for Command.

There is a thread that was posted to yesterday that may show that Bush volunteered for Vietnam while in the Guard. But, it was declined per the F-102 Aircraft were not well suited for the Vietnam AOR and more fitting for interceptor duties.

I could not find the thread or the original article.

Note to moveon: thanks for bringing more attention to Kerry's service (or lack thereof) in VietNam. When are you going to realize your ship and Kerry's are sinking faster than you can bail them out? You're going down.

These over the top moveon.org ads may actually lead to more people learning the truth about President Bush's honorable service in the National Guard. Maybe even some of the so-called reporters may learn how National Guard points are accumulated and how long it takes to become qualified to fly a jet fighter which is why the Guard wouldn't put out the financial investment for a new plane into a pilot coming near the end of his commitment.

MoveOn to SwiftVets: We will stop lying about your candidate if you stop telling the truth about ours.

The logic (used loosely) is if one claim is unbelievable, then the other is also.

The object is to shift the battle ground from a discussion of the substance of the ads, to an argument that 527s are engaged in tit-for-tat. It won't work.

Campaigns always engage in tit-for-tat and rebutting charges made in opposition ads. Oops -- nobody is rebutting the charges in the Swiftee's ad.

Also, the ad lies by clearly implying that Bush has the power immediately to yank the SwiftVets' own ad. That is false, of course -- and, consider: Would MoveOn really want to live in a country whose president could simply order "off the air" any ad by a 527 group that he didn't like?

As a former Squadron Commander, I surmise any overstamp would have been "Failure to Repair" not "Failure to Appear". That after a thorough investigation by the JAG Office folks as any administrative and/or legal actions were undertaken only after the legal beagles had their input.

Another sign of MoveOn not having a military clue.

Not just about George Bush; about everything. Including their whopper:

Communism/Socialism is good for you...

Let's face it, the Kerry camp coordinated this ad with MoveOn for the express purpose of having Kerry disavow it so he could then challenge Bush to disavow the SwiftBoat vets ad. Pretty transparent.

Yes, just because the ad does not mention Kerry does not mean Kerry was not involved. There are things like telephones and email that can communicate ideas.

I saw that last night during the Olympics they also claimed Bush banned drugs from Mexico and Canada.

The moveon.org ad is really starting to tick me off. My husband was in the guard and had neither money nor political connections that got him in to his unit. He also stayed in for several more years than were required. There is nothing dishonorable about the National Guard and I hope this attack on the Guard is turning off more people every day.

You know, we really ought to let this Vietnam stuff go. We ought to be addressing issues and events from the last 30 years. I'm sure the Kerry camp has something to talk about from the most recent 30 years.

Kerry folks, what has Kerry done in the last 30 years to qualify him as President of the United States?

Kerry folks, are you there?

Anybody?

Shalom.
