"...Sen. Mark Hatfield of Oregon entered the Winter Soldier transcripts into the Congressional Record
and asked the commandant of the Marine Corps for an investigation of the Marines that testified.
Investigators were unable to confirm or refute the claimed atrocities,
but identified one organizer (Al Hubbard) as never being in combat.
Guenter Lewy in America in Vietnam says
"The results of this investigation, carried out by the Naval Investigative Service
are interesting and revealing ... Many of the veterans, although assured that they
would not be questioned about atrocities they might have committed personally,
refused to be interviewed. One of the active members of the VVAW told investigators
that the leadership had directed the entire membership not to cooperate with military authorities ..."

I remember this...vaguely. It's been a long time. Wasn't THIS the reason for the meeting - that Kerry attended before he didn't - where they discussed assassinating US senators?

This info needs to be spread on the internet PING

Head of Kerry's Vietnam Vets Against the War was Vietnam Vet phony

"...Many of the stories were later shown to be fictional. Other so-called Vietnam veterans, such as the executive secretary of VVAW, Al Hubbard, a self-styled poet ("See what you've become, Amerika," ends one of his Vietnam odes), turned out to have no record of service in Vietnam..."

http://www.washingtontimes.com/commentary/20040313-103742-2364r.htm

"...At the time, Kerry was serving as the point man for the Vietnam Veterans Against the War.

The president of the organization was Al Hubbard, who claimed to be an Air Force captain
who was severely injured during his service in Vietnam.

It turned out Hubbard was a sergeant who never served in Vietnam..."

I have a question for those of you who are not as historically challenged as I am...

When the US pulled out of Vietnam largely because of pressure from sKerry's anti-war nitwits, how many S Vietnamese civilians (not S Vietnamese soldiers) were slaughtered when the Communist North was then able to roll over what was left to defend the south?

This has been known for years and years that Hubbard was not in Nam. FBI documents even address Kerry confronting Hubbard at a couple of VVAW meetings and forced an unsuccessful vote to remove him from the VVAW or as a leader of the org.

What an evil, lying, POS!!! The media who support him are losing viewers/readers to the Internet. Spread the word, and help them lose some more.

You've been doing a great job on this stuff, but FWIW, I think we have to start making the case to the peopel in the broader context.....to wit; list the things that Kerry's holding back from us...

1. Teresa's Tax returns

2. Financial recors of Heinz foundations

3. Kerry's complete military records, as he promised Tim Russert

4. Kerry's health records

5. Details of the secret CIA mission into Cambodia..

"This has been known for years and years that Hubbard was not in Nam."

Yep, that's why I remember it. There was also a concerted Propaganda Machine effort to run interferance just in case too many people noticed the truth and began questioning it. What I'm a little vague on, after all these years, are the details....which can be rectified easily. The last few days haven't been too restful and I posted my knee jerk reaction to Tonk's info...it's a bad habit that I can't seem to get rid of. I WILL, I promise you, dig up those details now that I've been reminded of them.

The FBI documents you mention would be those showing the confrontation between Kerry and Hubbard during the meeting he did not attend before he might have attended it, correct?

That picture should be a national advertisment. I never thought I'd live to see someone that lied more than x42 and Goron, but Kerry is totally delusional.

I was a teenager during Vietnam. The guy I was engaged to was a marine. He said he never saw Americans commit any atrocities but had nightmares about things the Vietcong did. Paul died a drunk at age 50 of a heartattack. We never married as I called it off. He was very different when he came home in 1969. Kerry needs to be brought to account for HIS attrocities.....lying about honest soldiers.

How many American soldiers had to die in Vietnam for Kerry to win each vote? How many innocent South Vietnamese had to be slaughtered by the the Communist Vietnamese for Kerry to win each vote in the coming election?

"How many American soldiers had to die in Vietnam for Kerry to win each vote? How many innocent South Vietnamese had to be slaughtered by the the Communist Vietnamese for Kerry to win each vote in the coming election?"

The number is literally in the millions. The two questions we should keep asking is "How many millions of people had to die in Vietnam for Kerry to win each vote? How many hundreds of thousand of honorable Vietnam veterans have suffered for the past 35 years for John Kerry to win each vote?"

You already know that....I'm just sticking the questions on this thread for the record.

"Details of the secret CIA mission into Cambodia"

"He was a ferry master, a drop-off guy, but it was dangerous as hell.
Kerry carries a hat he was given by one CIA operative.
In a part of his journals which I didn't use
he writes about discussions with CIA guys he was dropping off."

Douglas Brinkley biographer of John Kerry
