The Boss and the gang are singing the wrong tunes.

Bruce Springsteen, Pearl Jam, the Dixie Chicks and others are on a mission to kick President Bush out of the White House. They're touring through swing states to spread their anti-Bush message.

American Pie

I met a girl who sang the blues and I asked her for some happy news but she just smiled and turned away, I went down to the sacred store where I'd heard the music years before but the man there said the music wouldn't play and in the streets the children screamed, the lovers cried, and the poets dreamed but not a word was spoken, the church bells all were broken and the three men I admire most, the Father, Son, and the Holy Ghost, they caught the last train for the coast, the day, the music, died, and they were singin...

Heavy metal band Metallica must be Republican, too. I think its song "Don't Tread on Me" was written by the Bush administration

James Hetfield (Lead Singer and Rhythm Guitarist) is a Republican. I don't know about the other members of the group but I think Lars Ulrich (Drummer and co-founder) is a dem.

Can you imagine the feminazis going nuclear over that song today?

Rush, Red Barchetta. Al Gore future song.

My uncle has a country place
That no one knows about
He says it used to be a farm
Before the Motor Law
And on Sundays I elude the eyes
And hop the Turbine Freight
To far outside the Wire
Where my white-haired uncle waits
Jump to the ground
As the Turbo slows to cross the borderline
Run like the wind
As excitement shivers up and down my spine
Down in his barn
My uncle preserved for me an old machine
For fifty odd years
To keep it as new has been his dearest dream
I strip away the old debris
That hides a shining car
A brilliant red Barchetta
From a better vanished time
I fire up the willing engine
Responding with a roar
Tires spitting gravel
I commit my weekly crime
Wind
In my hair
Shifting and drifting
Mechanical music
Adrenaline surge...
Well-weathered leather
Hot metal and oil
The scented country air
Sunlight on chrome
The blur of the landscape
Every nerve aware
Suddenly ahead of me
Across the mountainside
A gleaming alloy air car
Shoots towards me, two lanes wide
I spin around with shrieking tires
To run the deadly race
Go screaming through the valley
As another joins the chase
Drive like the wind
Straining the limits of machine and man
Laughing out loud with fear and hope
I've got a desperate plan
At the one-lane bridge
I leave the giants stranded at the riverside
Race back to the farm
To dream with my uncle at the fireside

"The song I like by Skynrd was when they told Neil Young where to go in Sweet Home Alabama."

It always amuses me when radio stations play those two songs back-to-back. Sometimes I think they don't listen to the lyrics.

I also never knew that commie Pete Seegar wrote "Turn, Turn, Turn." Amazing.

Kiss My Ass--Ted Nugent

Telegram for Mr Billary...

C'mon baby,
Yeah, big ol' wet one...hey!

Kiss my ass,
Kiss my ass, (c'mon, everybody ought'a)
Kiss my ass, (tastes real good)
Kiss my ass. (oh...)

Don't waste your time on me
I got my own direction
Watch me close, wait and see
I'm lookin' for perfection
I make up my own mind
And I'll leave you far behind
When the goin' gets tough
You can kiss my ass

I believe in animal rights
I let my dog hump on my shin
I can tolerate sexual choice
But not with the next of kin (uh-uh, boy)
I've heard it all before
I ain't gonna take any more
When the goin' gets tough
You can kiss my ass

Everybody!
Kiss my ass, (pucker up)
Kiss my ass
Kiss my ass
Kiss my ass, (c'mon babe)

I've heard it all before
And I ain't gonna take no more, no no
When the goin' gets tough
Kiss my ass!

I see the weenies with the dirty hair
Protestin' on the street
They condemn the clothes we wear
And the morality of what we eat, yeah
It's gotta be a fluke
They make me wanna puke
When the goin' gets tough
They can kiss my ass

Everybody gotta
Kiss my ass - C'mon gang bangers
Kiss my ass - Janet Reno
Kiss my ass - C'mon Billary
Kiss my ass - Callin' on Jesse Jackson
Kiss my ass - How about the IRS
Kiss my ass - Hey, Howard Stern
Kiss my ass - United Nations
Kiss my ass - All those Liberals
Kiss my ass - C'mon Sarah Brady
Kiss my ass - Oh, Courtney Love I've got your hole
Kiss my ass - Beavis, Butthead
Kiss my ass - How about Crips and Bloods

I've heard it all before
And we ain't gonna take it no more
When the goin' gets rough
When the goin's to tough
When the goin' gets rough
They oughta' kiss my ass

Bruce Springsteen, Pearl Jam, the Dixie Chicks and others don’t sing these words, however just their western music itself is a conservative venue, considering the alternatives in the liberal world; these musicians would not even be allowed to play in the new middle east radical states or in leftist communist China. They might be allowed to play in liberal socialist Latin America, but nobody would want to listen, while the leftists in Europe don’t like this stuff as they are too busy with their techno babble. Furthermore, by trashing conservatives they are alienating more than 50% of their American audience, which is ironic for a profession, which can only be successful if one captures the majority of listeners, they obviously therefore are not trying to capture the hearts of the American market. By trashing conservatives they are trashing themselves.

Hope Hetfield's 'therapy' goes well. Ulrich seems like a bratty kid. And the whole band has traditionally covered some of the most Satanic bands and lyrics out there. Merciful Fate, etc? Never mind that the band has basically played out, at this point.

One final hit song about marriage from the early 70s merits addressing. In September of 1971, Paul Stookey (of the venerable folk trio Peter, Paul and Mary) made it to No. 24 on the U.S. charts with “Wedding Song (There Is Love).” A self-described born-again Christian, Stookey approaches his subject with reverence, sensitivity and a clear Scriptural foundation. In a world turned upside down by changing mores and conflicting social agendas, Stookey’s “Wedding Song” is comforting, reassuring and timeless. I think it will be around for years to come, available to all couples who devoutly believe that “whenever two or more of you are gathered in His name, there is love.”

I also never knew that commie Pete Seegar wrote "Turn, Turn, Turn."

When I first heard him do that song - I think it was on the Smothers Brothers TV show - he said that he didn't "write" it, but took it straight from the Book of Ecclesiastes.

It's clear that he at least adapted it for the song.

Another one.........American Pie

Sorry, but including Biblical allusions in your song doesn't make it 'Conservative'.

".....the three men I admire most, the Father, Son, and the Holy Ghost....."

.......refers to the 3 rockers that went down in a plane crash. In fact, the entire song is a tribute to Buddy Holly and deals with his influence on Don McLean, on American music, and the influence of his death on the same. "The day the music died" refers to February 3, 1959, the day the public was informed that Buddy Holly, Richie Valens, and the Big Bopper had died in a plane crash the night before. Allusions are made to a number of events in America, aspects of pop culture, and figures in the music industry throughout the time between Holly's death and McLean's writing of the song. For example: "The jester" seems to refer to Bob Dylan.

I believe I've passed the age of consciousness and righteous rage,

A Conservative Song by the Dead Milkmen gone over the edge:
STUART
you know what stuart? i like you. you're not like the other people here in the trailer park. oh no, don't get me wrong, they're fine people, good americans. but they're content to sit back, maybe watch a little mork and mindy on channel 57. maybe kick back a cool coors 16-ouncer. they're good fine people, stuart. but they don't know what the queers are doing to the soil. you know that johnny werzner kid - the kid who delivers papers in the neighborhood? he's a fine kid. some of the neighbors say he smokes crack, but i don't believe it. anyway, for his 10th birthday, all he wanted was a burrow owl, just like his old man. "dad, get me a burrow owl. i'll never ask for anything else as long as i live". so the guy breaks down and buys him a burrow owl. anyway at 10:30 the other night i go out into my yard and there's the werzner kid looking up in the tree. i said, "what are you looking for?" he said, "i'm looking for my burrow owl." i say, "jumping jesus on a pogo stick. everybody knows that a burrow owl lives in a hole in the ground. why the hell do you think they call it a burrow owl, anyway?" now stuart, do you think a kid like that is gonna know what the queers are doing to the soil? i first became aware of this, about 10 years ago, the summer my oldest boy bill jr. died. you know that carnival that comes to town every year? well this year it came with a ride called the mixer. the man said "keep your head and arms inside the mixer at all times." but bill jr., he was a daredevil., just like his old man. he was leaning out saying, "hey everybody, look at me, look at me". pow! he was decapitated. they found his head over by the snowcone concession. a few days after that, i open up the mail and there's a pamphlet in there, from pueblo, colorado. and it's addressed to bill jr. and it's entitled, "do you know what the queers are doing to our soil?" now stuart, if you look at the soil around any large u.s. city with a big underground homosexual population - des moines, iowa, perfect example. look at the soil around des moines, stuart. you can't build on it, you can't grow anything in it. the government says it's due to poor farming. but i know what's really going on, stuart. i know it's the queers. they're in it with the aliens. they're building landing strips for gay martians. i swear to god. you know what stuart, i like you. you're not like the other people, here in the trailer park.

I think it was the Byrds that sang:

Eccl. 3:1-8

[1] To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

[2] A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;

[3] A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;

[4] A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;

[5] A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;

[6] A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;

[7] A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;

[8] A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.

This is STRAIGHT from the Bible. It was popular in the 60's. Most people don't know it is from the Bible.

I got sick and tired of it to say the least. After a few years of not hearing it I realized I liked the song more than I could admit. It is the #3 song of alltime on Billboard for the 70's.

Oingo Boingo

The 80s New Wave band Oingo Boingo had several right wing songs. The best was their unapologetic defense of the Free Market in the song Capitalism

There's nothing wrong with Capitalism
There's nothing wrong with free enterprise
Don't try to make me feel guilty
I'm so tired of hearing you cry

There's nothing wrong with making some profit
If you ask me I'll say it's just fine
There's nothing wrong with wanting to live nice
I'm so tired of hearing you whine
About the revolution
Bringin' down the rich
When was the last time you dug a ditch, baby!

If it ain't one thing
Then it's the other
Any cause that crosses your path
Your heart bleeds for anyone's brother
I've got to tell you you're a pain in the ass

You criticize with plenty of vigor
You rationalize everything that you do
With catchy phrases and heavy quotations
And everybody is crazy but you

You're just a middle class, socialist brat
From a suburban family and you never really had to work
And you tell me that we've got to get back
To the struggling masses (whoever they are)
You talk, talk, talk about suffering and pain
Your mouth is bigger than your entire brain
What the hell do you know about suffering and pain . . .

(Repeat first verse)

(Repeat chorus)

There's nothing wrong with Capitalism
There's nothing wrong with Capitalism
There's nothing wrong with Capitalism
There's nothing wrong with Capitalism

You're just a middle class, socialist brat
From a suburban family and you never really had to work
And you tell me that we've got to get back
To the struggling masses (whoever they are)
You talk, talk, talk about suffering and pain
Your mouth is bigger than your entire brain
What the hell do you know about suffering and pain . . .

(Repeat first verse)

(Repeat chorus)

There's nothing wrong with Capitalism
There's nothing wrong with Capitalism
There's nothing wrong with Capitalism
There's nothing wrong with Capitalism

Another good song is Only a Lad, a pro-death penalty anti- "root causes" of crime song.

Johnny was bad, even as a child everybody could tell
Everyone said if you don`t get straight
You`ll surely go to hell

But Johnny didn`t care
He was an outlaw by the time that he was
Ten years old
He didn`t wanna do what he was told
Just a prankster, juvenile gangster

His teachers didn`t understand
They kicked him out of school
At a tender early age
Just because he didn`t want to learn things
(Had other interests)
He liked to burn things

The lady down the block
She had a radio that Johnny wanted oh so bad
So he took it the first chance he had
Then he shot her in the leg
And this is what she said
Only a lad
You really can`t blame him
Only a lad
Society made him
Only a lad
He`s our responsibility
Only a lad
He really couldn`t help it
Only a lad
He didn`t want to do it
Only a lad
He`s underprivileged and abused
Perhaps a little bit confused

His parents gave up they couldn`t influence his attitude
Nobody could help
The little man had no gratitude

And when he stole the care
Nobody dreamed that he would
Try to take it so far
He didn`t mean to hit the poor man
Who had to go and die
It made the judge cry

Only a lad
He really couldn`t help it
Only a lad
He didn`t want to do it
Only a lad
He`s underprivileged and abused
Perhaps a little bit confused

It`s not his fault that he can`t believe
It`s not his fault that he can`t behave
Society made him go astray
Perhaps if we`re nice he`ll go away
Perhaps he`ll go away
He`ll go away

(Repeat chorus)

Hey there Johnny you really don`t fool me
You get away with murder
And you think it`s funny
You don`t give a damn if we live or if we die
Hey there Johnny boy
I hope you fry!

Indeed! Making a comparison between Buddy Holly, Richie Valens, and the Big Bopper and The Father, The Son and The Holy Ghost, while an interesting allusion that says alot about the way the Don McClean feels about the first three men, is ALSO kinda blasphemous and profane. While it raises THOSE three men to a God-like level, it also cheapens the latter three.

JMHO.........I'll take The Father, The Son and The Holy Ghost any day.

His "Going Home" at Woodstock ....one of the best hollow body solos ever.

This one is Celtic / Fusion. Great bag pipe battle song.

March of Cambreath
By Heather Alexander (www.heatherlands.com)

Axes flash, broad sword swing
Shining armor’s piercing ring
Horses run with a polished shield
Fight those bastards ‘til they yield

Midnight mare and blood red roan
Fight to keep this land your own
Sound the horn and call the cry
How many of them can we make die?

Follow orders as you’re told
Make their yellow blood run cold
Fight until you die or drop
A force like ours is hard to stop

Close your mind to stress and pain
Fight ‘til you’re no longer sane
Let not one damn cur pass by
How many of them can we make die?

Guard your women, children well
Send these bastards back to hell
We’ll teach them the ways of war
And they won’t come here anymore

Use your shield and use your head
Fight ‘til everyone is dead
Raise the flag up to the sky
How many of them can we make die?

(music interlude)

Dawn has broke the time has come
Move your feet to the marching drum
We’ll win the war and pay the toll
We’ll fight as one in heart and soul

Midnight mare and blood red roan
Fight to keep this land your own
Sound the horn and call the cry
How many of them can we make die?

Axes flash, broad sword swing
Shining armor’s piercing ring
Horses run with a polished shield
Fight those bastards ‘til they yield

Midnight mare and blood red roan
Fight to keep this land your own
Sound the horn and call the cry
How many of them can we make die?

How many of them can we make die?
How many of them can we make die?

"Me, I'm annoyed by it because it's pretentious as all hell, and Don McLean "refusing to comment on its meaning" all these years is just as pretentious. Ugh."

It could be that it's about the death of JFK and the socialist takeover of the dem party that resulted. If that were known he wouldn't have gotten the airplay that is has.
