FREEP REPORT: FReepers defend America's honor from leftist scum in Santa Monica
dfu on the scene | 8-12-04 | dfu

Posted on 08/12/2004 10:23:54 PM PDT by doug from upland

It was a great day in the leftist stronghold of Santa Monica, CA as a contingent of true Americans, led by the FReepers, defended America's honor and came face to face with human scum.

The President and Mrs. Bush along with Arnold made a visit to Santa Monica this afternoon. Ah, yes, Santa Monica, CA. The city with rent control and regulations that would have made an Eastern Bloc Soviet stooge proud. The city with homeless peeing on the sidewalks. The city whose business policies are trying to run business out of town. In California, it is Berkeley South.

We surprised the scumbags today with a force of several hundred on their home turf. They were there to protest the commander in chief and had no idea that RonDog would be all over this thing organizing behind the scenes via FReepmail.

They were so predictible. Silly signs of No Blood for Oil, Bush Knew About 911, War Is not the Answer, Bush/Cheney Mass Murderers. Even the nitwits from Code Pink were there with a big banner hanging from a building. I did not see a Free Mumia, but that might have been there too. It usually is. I don't think I saw any women carrying a sign saying I WANT TO HAVE MICHAEL MOORE'S BABY.

Our side had great chants: Hey hey, ho ho, a cowboy not a gigolo; Hanoi John Hanoi Jane, both of you should be ashamed; Kerry/Edwards, here's the door, Bush and Cheney in '04; Mrs. Kerry go away, we'll take Laura any day. Only once did I use -- Last night Kerry celebrated, his wife had been medicated.

I had the great pleasure of working the bullhorn for awhile until I started to get a little hoarse.

Of the FReepers I saw were Vic from Long Beach, rockitz, joyangela, RonDog, jessamine, and doodlelady. Others please check in.

We met down the street at Coco's afterwards and had a huge group of loyal Republicans adding to the FReeper contingent. There might have been fifty of us at Coco's.

And then, came the highlight of the evening. A guy saw a few motorcycles and a few SS guys with earplugs talking into their wrists (I embellished that). He yelled -- HERE COMES THE PRESIDENT.

Yes, the motorcade was going to go right by Coco's. We all got up to run outside, and I assured the waiter that we were not running out on our checks and would be back. We are not DemocRATS, after all.

It was great. We saw Laura and then saw Dubya waving to a big group of us with banners and signs.

We took some time to introduce ourselves to the rest of the group and, not surprisingly, I had a message in verse:

We're the good guys, it's easy to tell
From the other side, there was a smell
Michael Moore is a pig
We will win this thing big
Mrs. Kerry, FOUR MORE YEARS OF HELL!

The other side was obnoxious and smelly. They really are different than us. They hear soundbites and are absolutely clueless.

Ted Hayes is a great American. He is a former DemocRAT who saw the light and knows that the GOP is the party that freed blacks and is the party of opportunity. We are the side that is standing up for American in the War on Terror. Good luck to Ted's daughter. She is representing us in the Olympics, I think he said as a 100-meter hurdler. She is world class and has a genuine shot at a gold.

During the event, I got through to Hugh Hewitt, and Hugh was pleased that we have a big group there to oppose the leftist scum (my words, not Hugh's).

Others who attended, add your comments.

Nice work. You all are to be commended.

When I get well enough, I look forward to joining you folks at these sorts of events. God willing that it be sooner rather than later. : )

In the restaurant Ted told us how we really are different from his former Democrat friends. They are angry, arrogant, unfriendly people. We are quite the opposite.

Bush Stumps With Nancy Reagan and Arnold

LOS ANGELES - President Bush (news - web sites) on Thursday won the embrace of two California Republican icons, Nancy Reagan and Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger (news - web sites), hoping their glow would rub off on him in a state that remains hostile territory to him.

At a fund raiser that brought in $3 million for the Republican National Committee (news - web sites), Bush praised Schwarzenegger for his performance following last year's gubernatorial recall election.

"He came to this important state and he got the job done," Bush told donors. "That's how I hope people view me as well as the president. I came to the capital and got the job done."

Schwarzenegger joked that he has been working hard for Bush's campaign, saying, "I've been organizing Republicans for Bush-Cheney, I've been organizing ... bodybuilders for Bush-Cheney, I've been organizing girlie men for Bush-Cheney..."

The city with homeless peeing on the sidewalks. The city whose business policies are trying to run business out of town. In California, it is Berkeley South.

I resent being called "homeless."

And I wasn't peeing in the streets, I was peeing on the statue of Karl Marx in the town park. (Of course I might be wrong. Maybe that was Flagstaff on Sunday night. . . )

Anyway, Good Work Freepers. Boy, are we proud of you!!

Just a little something before I turn in! Night all!

"Luv ya W"
Joy Angela

Two hundred miles and twelve hours since I headed to the Bush Rally in Santa Monica today, I am back home again. It is midnight but my mind is clear because I spent a glorious day celebrating the presidency of George W. Bush. Flags, signs, music, bull horns, laughter, honking horns, friendship and smiles.

For most of the day, from noon until after 6 pm, people gathered on three street corners and a long length of a city block to honor President Bush, to let him know we love him. Many hundreds of people were there, kids, adults, Vietnamese-Americans, a wheel chair here and there, Ted Hayes wrapped in the colors of the flag. Freepers, Republicans, Americans. Some people I met learned of the rally from local newspapers or on the internet. They came on buses, across the city, and from far away.

But then, later in the day, a crowd gathered on the other corner. Kerry People. Scary People. Chanting to the beat of a drum, led by what seemed to be imported activists-for-hire. A group gathered for an unseen audience. While hundreds of Bush supporters waved to passing cars, shouting "Four More Years!" and "USA!" the Kerry crowd pointed their booming voices to the nearest television camera.

Film at eleven.

And so it was. The way it is. Those who love America and those who hate America. Several dozens, and more, of us moved our celebration to a nearby restaurant and in the middle of learning a few names and hearing a few stories, someone looked out the window facing the street and yelled, "Bush's car is coming down the street!"

Oh my gosh. For a moment, we couldn't believe it, then we all believed! We grabbed signs and banners and ran out of the restaurant to the street below. The cars came, the police escorts, the darkened windows!! Some of us saw Laura Bush wave! Down that street, for us alone it seemed, we were that close to the President of the United States. Wow. The glow went on and on. And even now, at midnight the glow is still on.
