Controverial comic Margaret Cho is about to become even more so.
'Im hoping to get arrested during the Republican convention,' Cho tells us.
Later this month, Cho will spend at least two nights at the Apollo Theatre courting fans during her 'State of Emergency Tour' and the rest of her time courting New York's finest.
Although she works with such liberal groups as MoveOn.org and is an outspoken activist for gay marriage, Cho is still unsure what tatic she will undertake to attract attention from the NYPD.
'Ive never been arrested, so I'm not sure what to do, but I figure I will chain myself to a fence somewhere.'
I haven't gotten a hotel room yet so I'm hoping the police station will be able to accommodate me,' she said.

No problem for the "rich". They just buy their way out. ;-)
If this were January, the NYPD might take pity and arrest her so she doesn't catch pneumonia from the cold.
The police are going to busy aresting these jerkoffs from Saturday through Thursday.
Cho ceased being funny about 10 years ago.
Especially if ugliness is made a crime
She probably wants to save on those convention rates during Labor Day week! She should try the YWCA..
Why go to the middle man, chain yourself to the thief.
I wish they would start putting the word Margret Cho Comedian in quotes. I never knew she was a "comedian". A "comedian" is supposed to be funny, right?
I don't know if she was ever funny. Her career consists of making fun of her own race, her own drunken stupidity and her pissing her own bed.
Republicans were curteous to the rats during their convention yet they cannot return the favor.
That shows them what kind of people they are. Ignorant, hateful and intolerant.
Just try getting within five blocks of Central Park, baby. That'll do it.
I guess since her career has lost traction she hopes this will help.
She ceased being funny when she gained all of that weight that ABC made her lose to get a sitcom, then the MoveOn.org hate took over.
What is a "maroon"? Could you mean "moron"?
If an unfunny, fat, asian comic gets arrested in NYC and nobody cares, does it really count as a publicity stunt?
Another person who wants to jump start her faltering career.
Anyone can suggest any ways to help her get arrested?
Everyone I think of would offend someone!!!
Wow, I hadn't heard that washed-up pig's name in ten years and now suddenly she's "in the news". It's amazing how these Hollywood publicity machines can use politics to resurrect mediocre careers like Cho's, Franken's, and Garafolo's.
