Simple question for the people "outraged" by the anti-Kerry Swift Boaters political ad...

Doesn't a 30 or 60 second ad pale in comparison to the 2 HOUR HATCHET JOB on President Bush put out by Michael Moore?

Think about it.

What is the difference between the 2?

Moore isn't officially part of the Kerry campaign. Neither are the swift boaters officially part of the Bush campaign.

There are some 50+ documented lies, mistruths, and distortions in F911. How many are in the ad?

I don't recall any republicans trying to prevent the movie from being shown, so why are the democrats trying to get the ad from being shown? Can you imagine the outcry if Bush's lawyers had contacted all movie theatres and threatened them if they showed the movie, like Kerry's lawyers have threatened TV stations if they show an ad???

Moore's anti-Bush bash excuse for a movie is nearly 2 hours long. Can't Kerry take the heat from a 30 or 60-second ad?

Is this not a joke for the democrats to whine about a little TV ad after having their Michael Mooregasm???

It's water off a duck's back to them. They don't even notice.

I've entered bookstores where the main displays were filled with only anti-Bush books, by Moore etc...

One book against Kerry and they squeal like stuck pigs.

The difference is the Swiftboaters are telling the truth. Not one thing the Swiftboaters claim has been denied.

The difference is that Michael Moore is one of them, so what he's doing is just free speech. The swift boat ad is being done by people with a differing opinion, and therefore it is not free speech and does not deserve tolerance. They are only tolerant towards those who agree.

Don't you know how it works?

Bush ad shows 2 seconds of a flag drapped coffin from 9/11= Liberal outrage over using 9/11 for political purposes.

Kerry, Michael Moore, and other Jackazz party operatives use lies and distortions to attack Bush's handling of 9/11 for political purposes = no outrage.

Liberals like Moore question Bush's attendance in National guard, call him a deserter= Liberals demand all information be released. Media agree and pursue.

Kerry makes Vietnam the centerpiece of his campaign but when other vets accuse him of lying about his record= liberals are outraged, call vets liars, demand inquiry end. Kerry refuses to release war records, media silent.

Ad infinitum.

How about the 4- year hatchet job on Bush by the Leftmedia?

I heard O'Reilly today talking about having Steve Gardner on tonight. It was very obvious O'Reilly already has his mind made up, and doesn't see any proof the Swiftboat Vets are right. He said, "All the proof is on Kerry's side."

O'Neal is going to be on Hannity tonight, and Nightline is going to have a special.

Excellent post...equally intriguing is the question why:

Why would the Swifties trash one of their own?

Why would 200+ guys not support one of their own for election to the highest office in the land?

Why would the complete chain of command of John Kerry make the statement he is "unfit for command"?

Why, well actually, What; would they gain by making their observations and thoughts known to the American people?

Logic would suggest that they have witnessed first hand what a complete liar and fraud that Kerry is; and being the patriots that they are feel compelled to come forward. These are brave men in the finest tradition of the US Military and as most of us still believe that "Duty, Honor and Country" is a creed that we espouse.

However, To violate the "Bonds of Brotherhood" formed in Combat is an unpardonable act. Anyone displaying a breech of character of this magnitude can never again be trusted.

That is what the Swift Boat folks for truth stand for; God Bless them and I salute them for their courage.

I am donating to the Swift Boat Vets. I hope they can come up with one more ad (I hope someone will, anyway) in this ad Kerry should be heard and seen giving his vile, lying, testimony to congress AFTER he left Vietnam.

It is public record and needs to be seen and heard.

The difference is that the movie is just preaching to the choir who paid admission. The commercial is preaching to everyone who sees it.

Kerry cannot stand the truth. It hurts him real bad.
The only remaining question is whether a majority of American voters still care. To many, being a liar is just another qualification for becoming President.

If ever a Democrat gets into office especially one as left leaning as Kerry

The Bill of rights will be utterly abolished except to be used to enslave those who do not understand where freedom comes from and those people are growing abundantly in the ranks of society !

The Constitution as we know it should be will no longer exist but to a few people such as us who will fight and more likely die in the cause of true freedom .

To me i see the destruction of our country and way of life not from a threat of terrorism we could handle that with barbaric and savage ways and in some cases it will be done .

The biggest problem that seeks to destroy us right inside our own government WE THE PEOPLE aren't anymore.

We the governors and senators instead of listening to the people have decided that special interest and their own lining in their pockets decides whats best for WE THE PEOPLE .

I don't have a solution not a simple one anyway but the problem is obvious LIERS AND THEIVES control our laws and until that changes drastically we are truly screwed.

It was very obvious O'Reilly already has his mind made up, and doesn't see any proof the Swiftboat Vets are right. He said, "All the proof is on Kerry's side." ...in his initial discussion of the Swift Boat vets last week O'Reilly dismissed them disdainfully as "immoral" - his allowing anyone from the group on his show is a concession that the story is valid, and the best arguments he could muster during tonight's interview were that Kerry was "brave" and that most of the Swiftvets didn't serve on the same boat as Kerry - poor pompous Bill will be eating a lot of crow before this is all over.....

Tune into Hannity & Colmes and catch Lannie Davis opining on the morality of running a false ad (guess which ad he means!). If you have the stomach for it!

I did and it was very obvious Lanny was parsing his words carefully. Folks, we have to help the Swiftboat Vets by keeping this stirred up. Those of us who have been in the military know who is telling the truth.

poor pompous Bill will be eating a lot of crow before this is all over.....

I'd like to give him a knuckle sandwich to go with the crow.

I just watched O'Reilly give Gardener the usual treatment he gives every guest I have seen on his show the few times I have watched part of it. Gardener never got a chance to string more than 8 or 10 words together without blowhard O'Reilly cutting him off or dismissing his statement with "well we don't really know that" or something similar.

I don't ever watch that egomaniac anymore, but I watched tonight because I thought maybe, just maybe, one of the Swifties might get a halfway fair hearing on Fox. I was wrong, and O'Reilly is back on my DO NOT WATCH list. This time for good.

BTW, I just saw that Clintonoid p###ant Lanny Davis shooting off his lying mouth on Hannity and Colmes. I got so mad I switched channels. WHY doesn't some conservative host like Hannity just shut off the mike on people like Davis who scream and yell their lies over everyone else who is trying to talk? He could have had equal time to make his statement, but he was determined to turn the interview into an incoherent shouting match. I guess the networks think that kind of crap is what viewers want to see. Maybe they're right, but all it does for me is cause me to reach for the clicker.

I think I may just unplug the TV until this campaign is over, my cardiologist is trying to keep my blood pressure controlled and this crap isn't helping. I had some hopes at one time that Fox might give the Pubs a chance to counter the lies and smears against Bush that are the rule on every other network, but I see Fox isn't much, if any, better than the others. Screw 'em all. (and I don't say things like that very often)
