Nashville, Tenn. (July 19, 2004) Country duo Montgomery Gentry are releasing their second single, "You Do Your Thing," from their highly successful CD of the same name. Coming off a #1 chart topper with the rocking "If You Ever Stop Loving Me" the new song is a hard-hitting ballad with Eddie Montgomery on lead vocals.
"You Do Your Thing" is an in-your-face statement that Eddie and Troy believe in - you do your thing and I'll do mine. The video concept captures everyday elements of the Montgomery Gentry lifestyle and beliefs. Shot in and around Nashville, Michael Salomon was brought on as director and Mark Kalbfeld as producer.
The video will make its World Premiere this Thursday, July 22 on CMT's Top Twenty Countdown 6:00pm, 10:00pm and July 23 at 6:00pm (all times Eastern).
The video features Eddie and Troy riding with their family through town. They encounter anti-war protestors, crooked politicians, drug dealers, prostitutes, and much more.
At one point in the video Eddie Montgomery goes after a drug dealer with a baseball bat.

I love Montgomery Gentry's new song/video. Especially when he's riding through town and the hoitie toitie's see the dead deer, almost faint, then get a huge slab o meat slapped down in front of them.
