THE KERRY CAMPAIGN: LIVING IN THE PAST (No new ideas; Just a Gomer Pyle-esque salute)
NY POST ^ | August 3, 2004 | LETTERS TO EDITOR

Posted on 08/03/2004 3:58:21 AM PDT by Liz

......During the 1996 campaign, Kerry insisted that Bob Dole's war-time heroics were totally irrelevant to the campaign against slacker Bill Clinton. Doesn't this sound a little bit hypocritical? No achievements in the Senate? No new ideas? Just a Gomer Pyle-esque salute? His campaign has jumped the shark. Mary Pav Manhattan

In his speech, Kerry issued a direct appeal to Bush for the candidates to respect each other and not be "divisive" in the coming weeks. This, after Kerry and his supporters have spent more than a year calling Bush a liar, a coward, a thug and even a Nazi. Scott Knudsen Manhattan

...... The (Kerry) film......left out the fact that he was Michael Dukakis' lieutenant governor. I wonder why. Could it be that even the Democrats know that tying Kerry to Dukakis would be a death sentence? Erik Lander Brooklyn

--SNIP--

.......people on the lunatic left never let the truth get in the way of what they want to believe. Ted Hulbert Guilford, Conn.

I have only one question for candidate Kerry: Was Bush brilliant in getting terrorists to drop everything and rush into Iraq to fight us on our terms, or was he stupid for not fighting them in America? I look forward to the expert opinion that his four months on a river patrol boat in Vietnam has given him. Anthony Rubino Roxbury

The Democratic National Convention ....... ignored most of the social issues — gay marriage, affirmative action, abortion on demand, etc. — that continue to divide middle America. Obviously, the powers that be in the Kerry campaign fully realize the party base is out of touch with middle America. Bob Moffitt Sloatsburg

Read the next Post where Kerry accuses George Bush of aiding the enemy if you think he has started a friendly campaign.

...And what is so unbelievable about this reality is the TRUTH ALWAYS is revealed and trumps willful ignorance.

Will they ever learn?

Liberals are not original since they don't THINK. Liberals only FEEL.

Captain Kerry Condom stars in a fascist Planned Parenthood film: "Use condoms or else."

"Those who do not comply will assemble in cattle cars and be taken to Reeducation Camp."

"That really WAS a lame salute..."

IMO, Kerry's salute was the equivalent of Mikey Dukakis in a tank. It was such a stupid, transparent and insincere gesture that it will define the low point of his campaign. Reporting for doody, what a joke.

I'm sick to death of him, and as Terayyuh says, "Three more months." I'll be taking pain pills before this is over.
