Many of those over 40 initially supported the overthrow of the Shah. I think we may have a case of buyer's remorse now. I wonder if the younger Iranian generation is asking the older generation: "How is $#@#*##!% could you have been so STUPID?"
Aside from the general media commentary about the younguns in Iran wanting to see the
mullahs thrown on the ash-heap of history...
I remember when we had TONS of Iranians at the universities in Oklahoma.
I've suspected that some of the current unrest comes from the young ones hearing from their
parents and uncles/aunts about the "good old days in the USA".
