Aside from the general media commentary about the younguns in Iran wanting to see the
mullahs thrown on the ash-heap of history...
I remember when we had TONS of Iranians at the universities in Oklahoma.
I've suspected that some of the current unrest comes from the young ones hearing from their
parents and uncles/aunts about the "good old days in the USA".
I think you are correct. Freedom is infectious. Many of the older generation must have had enough contact with freedom that they remember it vividly and yearn for it daily. If, God willing, they get their freedom, maybe they will defend it relentlessly.
