Michael Moore will walk the Democratic convention floor after all.
In fact, he'll give an interview to Larry King, appear on MSNBC with Ron Reagan and talk on ABC's "Good Morning America" from the floor this week.
He'll even share a box at the convention with invited VIP guests such as Al Franken and Ben Affleck.
Moore said Saturday that the Democratic Party is welcoming him, even though he first believed a "low-level, disgruntled person" was trying to deny him the access he sought to the convention.
"It was really just a matter of I made the request so late," Moore said Saturday from his home in northern Michigan. He said the party's response to him has been "overwhelmingly positive."
Initially, Moore said he'd heard that a convention staffer was keeping him out because he supported retired Gen. Wesley Clark before Massachusetts Sen. John Kerry locked up the nomination.
That rumor turned out to not be true, he said.
Moore will attend the convention Monday through Wednesday, but not Thursday when Kerry will deliver his keynote address. Moore is scheduled to appear on NBC's "The Tonight Show" with Jay Leno that night.
The Davison native and filmmaker produced a rallying cry for Democrats and other Bush administration foes in his blockbuster film "Fahrenheit 9/11" - which critically dissects President Bush's post-Sept. 11 foreign policy and ties him to the family of Osama bin Laden.
Moore's friend Sam Riddle, a longtime political consultant, supplied The Flint Journal on Friday with a copy of an e-mail in which Moore writes, "Can you believe the Dems are not going to give me credentials?!"
The e-mail was dated Thursday. Moore said he did not intend the e-mail to become public and that the situation was resolved sometime Friday. The Journal could not reach Moore for comment Friday.
"The top dogs of the Democratic Party must have realized that had Michael had a more visceral reaction, it could have had a very severe effect on November," Riddle said Saturday.
He maintains that media inquiries prompted convention officials to act on Moore's behalf.
Officials with the Democratic National Convention did not respond Friday or Saturday to questions about the incident when contacted by The Journal.

Excellent. Moore, Tereezha, Hillary, Billygoat.
Let The Games begin!
Michael Moore - the ugly, pignacious, hate-filled face of the democratic party.
he's mad because he heard there was a free buffet
That's it.. now the DNC is officially in the gutter with the lowest of the scum sucking dogs.
He may very well be the primer for the anti-Bush hatefest I suspect will erupt. I keep saying that all that vitriol will reach critical mass and make the Welstone rally look like a real funeral. The 'moderate' democrats won't be able to control it once it starts.
This election campaign is going to be the death of me. I can't take these losers and their lies.
Remember Dems...lie down with Dogs....of course he wants to be repaid...oh my, this is going to be fun.
You forgot about wild-eyed GORE!
So9
Big Fat Ugly Stupid White Leftist Bump!
He has no choice. The looney left is running the DNC now.
I think they're going to use him as a float or one of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade balloons since he is a big gasbag.
He looks like an elephant but is really a jackass, whoops, donkey.
Why would you need to get the DNC's response. You trust everything Michael Moore says don't you Marjory?
Please, please, please let Moore fall on Ron Reagan!!!
The more of them America sees in the next few days, the better for us.
hmmmm. Kerry flip-flops AGAIN!
"The top dogs of the Democratic Party must have realized that had Michael had a more visceral reaction, it could have had a very severe effect on November," Riddle said Saturday.
Yet another This is Spinal Tap moment.
I so agree with you. I do not think they will be able to control themselves. It should be interesting to watch the destruction they bring down on themselves.
