MIAMI -- A South Florida woman says a toy included in Wendy's kids' meals is obscene.
When Tiffany Glad took her three-and-a-half year old niece to Wendy's, the little girl was fascinated with the wind-up toy that told the story of the new Garfield movie.
But Glad says the next day, the cute toy turned crude. It seems one scene shows Garfield pointing upward and Glad says it looks like Garfield is sticking up his middle finger.
"My niece came to me and said Garfield was being bad and I asked her to explain to me. And she's articulate, she knows what's she's talking about, and she showed me the picture and I looked at it and I was outraged," says Glad.
Things got worse when Glad's niece began imitating the picture.
"Now she's going around showing everybody how Garfield's bad. And basically we have a 3-year-old running around giving the middle finger. He has five fingers, it's as clear as day what he's doing," Glad says.
The wrapper to the toy also has the same picture of Garfield pointing to a cloud, asking kids to fill in the bubble with an idea.
Wendy's has received several similar complaints from around the country, but they say it's a scene from the movie and they have no plans right now to remove the toy from the kids' meals.

The timing of this finding is extremely suspect.

Some days euthanasia sounds better than others.
A couple of years back some idiot wrote an editorial in our local paper. She was upset because there was a billbord with a picture of a naked baby. She wasn't concerned about the nudity, she was concerned because it was cold and the baby was naked.
She probably voted for Clinton and wasn't offended by his antics.
I just had a flash back to the anatomically correct Incredible Hulk doll from last year.
I hope she doesn't take her daughter to see Shrek II. She'll be hyperventilating...

It's a tough job having to save the world, Tiffany.
I actually think she's probably got a point. It's not "cute" when your kid starts imitating a happy meal by flipping folks off. It's obvious that the cat is doing what the lady said. Wendy's had best make the best of a bad deal, and pull the toy.
