If I were the agent in charge of the Berger investigation.
My own ramblings. | 07/21/04 | Jediforce

Posted on 07/21/2004 5:30:01 PM PDT by JediForce

This is what it might be like if I were in charge of the Berger investigation.

BERGER : May I help you ?

ME : Yes sir, FBI sir. I have been ordered to escort you to a location for more extensive questioning sir.

BERGER : Escort me ? Where ?

ME : Gitmo sir..I am sure you are aware of Gitmo ?

BERGER : ...Ah..er..Gitmo..for...why ?

ME : I am sure it is just and "honest mistake" sir..you know how sloppy paperwork can be. Not to worry I am sure this is just a case of bad "timing" or "sloppiness".

BERGER: ....Ah..er..well..yes....I suppose...I did feel a little like James Bond when the ..."mistake" happened. I must admit..it was a..er..a bit of a thrill.

ME : Well sir if you got a thrill out of stuffing top secret documents down your pants wait until you get a "load" of the new wire terminals the boys just got from AbooGrabMe prison in Iraq. You may be in for a bit of a "shock ".

BERGER : Are you trying to be funny Agent...Agent...Skywalker ?

ME : Not at all sir. You see some of the boys are worried about their families here at home sir. If some of the documents that you took fell into the wrong hands perhaps millions of American lives could be in danger.

BERGER : But...I..er..ah..was sent by President Clinton to get those documents to cover up.....er..ah...get for John Kerr..er...ah...I want my lawyer.

ME : Not a problem sir...your lawyer has the holding cell next to yours. Yes sir the boys at Gitmo have even picked out a pretty pair of ladies panties to put on your head. Why they even have a leash with your name on it.

BERGER : This is outrageous !

ME : Your right of course sir. It is outrageous that a man of your position would risk the lives of innocent Americans by using your power to cover up something that may save their lives. I must warn you sir...that Gitmo has a mainly Islamic diet..but there is a prayer rug in your cell. Perhaps we can get you some Kentucky Fried Pig but I would not wave it around because the other "guests" may get upset.

BERGER : But I was under the orders of President Clinton !

ME : Bad news sir...Clinton isn't the President anymore...but you are an NSA guy and may have missed that one too ! The good news is...we will be in time for Naked Guy Pyramid Building Night. I understand some Democrats really enjoy that...you should feel right at home sir.

BERGER : I never meant to hurt anyone !

ME : Like I said sir...probably an "honest mistake " or perhaps some "sloppiness" with the paperwork. Now, let me introduce you to my partner...Special Agent Lyndie England.

America should decide in which city to hang Berger.

I propose New York City at Ground Zero.

Sandy Berger was a key beneficiary of "Gorelick’s Wall"
TIME, "The Ubiquitous Mr. Fix-It", Adam Cohen

John Kerry was a key beneficiary of Berger's Burglaries
Rescued: Data the Kerry/Edwards Campaign Tried to DELETE from its site! (grandpa dave found cache)

Berger purloined all draft revisions of a key critique of the government's response
to the millennium terrorism threat, a document that detailed Administration knowledge
– and inaction – regarding al Qaeda presence in the U.S. in 1999
and 2000. Stolen were crucial notes in the margins of these drafts
which reveal the thinking and agendas of the
Clinton Administration relating to the mounting terrorist threat.
Washington Post, "Berger Quits as Advisor to Kerry", Susan Schmidt

Berger was not qualified as NSA.
He was a millionaire lawyer and lobbyist with a career centered on expanding trade with China.

Former FBI Director Louis Freeh opined that
Burger “was a public-relations hack, interested in how something would play in the press” .
The New Yorker, per http://www.nationalreview.com/lowry/lowry200311030753.asp

Dick Morris noted Berger “seemed to work overtime
at opposing tough measures against terror”,
advising vetoes of legislation aimed at crippling Iranian terror funding
and working to block antiterror sanctions.
Wall Street Journal, "While Clinton Fiddled", Dick Morris, http://www.opinionjournal.com/forms/printThis.html?id=95001824

Berger repeatedly rebuffed Sudanese offers to hand Osama bin Laden
to the United States in a deal brokered by a $900,000 contributor to Democrat campaigns.

It was Berger whose calls Bill Clinton ducked in 1998 when bin Laden was briefly vulnerable to missile attack.
US News & World Report, Paul Bedard, 15 Mar 2003

"Mr. Berger, please this is urgent.
We can take out Osama, now. Please answer!!! We have him in our sight."

Berger-Burglar: "Nope. Forgetaboutit. No big deal. I am watching the West Wing."

Berger allowed bin Laden and his top lieutenants to escape to Afghanistan.
NewsMax, "Aide: Clinton Unleashed bin Laden", Chuck Noe

Berger was singled-out by UN Inspector Scott Ritter for the collapse of UN inspections efforts in Iraq].
"Endgame: Solving the Iraq Problem - Once and for All" by Scott Ritter

Berger admitted that the Clinton Administration failed to develop a war plan to fight al Qaeda
National Review, "Warning B.S.", Rich Lowry

Berger was the "go-to" man regarding China policy
when Communist Chinese money was being funneled into Democrat Party coffers
in exchange for policy concessions, strategic nuclear technology,
and all pending patent applications at the US Patent Office.
The Hill, "Fundraiser resurfaces from 1996", Sam Dealey

Berger stonewalled the Energy Department about Chinese spying in Los Alamos for three years.

"I was summoned to the office of National Security adviser Sandy Berger,
who chewed me out for not having a national security adviser.
So I opened the next season with Anna Deavere Smith as the national security adviser

Dear LA Times. Surely you could have found a spot before page A-13 for a story of the magnitude that the theft of Top Secret documents deserves. Have you no shame in showing just how liberal your newspaper is? Perhaps if President Bush had passed wind in public, you would surely find space on page 1 or 2. I hope your readership takes note of just how bias you are and decides to start subscribing to a newspaper that want to present headline news in it's headline page.

Have a great day and be sure to keep printing the headlines on page 13.

Thanks for your note. I hope you saw the front-page article that ran today as a follow to yesterday's coverage.

I've let editors know that a number of readers thought the story was underplayed yesterday, and furthermore saw bias in the choice of how to play it.

Thanks again for taking the time to write to us about this so that I could pass along your perspective to editors.

If you were in charge and filed charges it would be after the next election before any trial would take place. You would have to pray everynight that Kerry would not be elected.

I propose New York City at Ground Zero.

1. At a joint session of Congress w/ Foggy Bottom in attendance

2. At the DNC in Boston

3. At the next graduation of whatever law school produced him.
